    whats your opinion on machida/jackson?
i had big money on machida and i thought the decision was total BS.

...but of course I was very biased. what are all of your opinions on this fight?

they should give half points for close rounds. 10-9.5

Rampage won the first two rounds. No controversy here.

I am shocked it went to the judges' scorecard in the first place. I thought Machida would have KO Ram in the 1st round.

Hardly anything happened in the first 2 rounds, Rampage showed more pressure and landed an uppercut I think but I dont think that deserves a 10-9 round for him, If I was a judge I'd of given draws for both rounds and then just said whoever dominates the third round wins, and that clearly was Machida.

"yeah...b..b..but they stole the machida decision from rua !"...

/that`s fanboy logic when discussing the horrible decision we saw last night...and apparently it wasn`t the only one(griffin).....

there are several lessons to be learned here...for the fighters,if you employ a more technical style, that won`t fly with white.....imo,his fingerprints are all over this....all you had to do was hear jackson`s comments and see his body language after the fight.....that basically told the story....

and as far as fanboy polls are concerned?...as i indicated, many are still p.o.`ed about the rua decision...they "love"rampage...

jackson`s admission and body language....and the fact that all 3 major internet mma sites that covered this fight in real time(mma weekly/sherdog/mmajunkie)...all had it for machida....

no more $49 in dana`s pocket from me until they clean the judging up...i`ll watch those shitty streams...i`m not putting one more cent in that clown white`s pocket...

                    other than that,everything`s just peachy...

I didn't bet on the main event. I thought Rampage won the first round, edged the second round, and Machida won the third. I have no problem with the scoring.

just so you know, ufc has nothing to do with the judging or judges in any way. You're right that it should be cleaned up , but UFC can't do it, and it's not their fault that the judges suck.

I scored it 29-28 from the stands for Rampage. It was very close. Im not sure how anyone can say "BS decision". I think ppl need to differentiate between a robbery and a very close fight that they deem to have gone the wrong way. The 3rd round was obviously easy to score for Machida. But just because the 3rd round was one sided doesn't mean you throw away the first 2 rounds. Under the 10-point must system, this fight was very close. If it was Pride scoring, than yes Machida would have won.

this is why Pride's system scoring (minus the corruption, which I'm sure is present in UFC as well) is superior. if that fight would have gone on, who would have won? who won the fight as a whole? Under the UFC's round-by-round system, I agree, it was no robbery at all but still a questionable decision. Under a more fair system, like Pride's, it was a robbery.

The 10 pt must system is fine, when used properly it gets the winner right the vast majority of the time. The problem is the judges' reluctance to score anything other than 10-9 rds (10-10s and 10-7s as well as 10-8s need to be handed out more liberally, imo).

I cant see how Rampage won round 1, he got leg kicked & besides that not much happend besides Machida walking backwards, you still have to hit the guy not just because you come forward you win.

Round 2 Rampage only wins because he put Machida on his back

3 was clearly Machida who was the most action of the night, most damage & put rampage on his back

first round even or slight edge to machida-second rampage edge--third--machida dominated.

Big machida fan here. I was really disappointed.

Saw Rampage squeak out the 10-9 in the first then dominate the second.
Even though the 3rd round had 10x more value then the first two combined I still knew going into it that Machida needed to submit him.

Machida won the fight clearly, but Rampage earned a fair decision.
