    Thanks to all Okami Backers......
I was letting the fact that I am a fan of watching Marquardt fight cloud my judgment in the weeks leading up to the fight. But, after reading through the threads here, I woke up and grabbed some Okami +195, by dec +316 yesterday.

I think MMA forum is strongest of the sports betting sub forums on sbr by far.

I had a lean on Nate the great, but after reading I still couldn't back Okami. However, I did decide to make it a no play.

I wish I listened. Nate looked terrible in that fight and he could have easily won it.

That was a poor performance. I speculate that the size and strength of Okami was in Marquardt's head a bit making him hesitant to throw since he really wanted to avoid getting put on his back.

It was suprising in the third to see Okami just stalking Marquardt around the ring with Marquardt displaying no urgency whatsoever.

Marquardt looked tired and this was probably because Okami grinded him out in the start. If he hadn't gone for those stupid guillotines in the first round and just tried to grind a boring decision I feel like he could have won fairly easily. They knew before hand that Okami was a boring fighter just looking to grind a win yet they had no intentions of securing a decision win. If Marquardt played positions better and just sat on top when the opportunites were available it could have been a win. Also his corner was yelling for kicks, but Marquardt's offense seemed to be very limited. I don't think he followed his game plan. It's really hard to say what was going on because Marquardt didn't really have his hands up for a lot of the fight. I'm pretty sure he wasn't getting hurt, but like you said he wasn't showing any urgency either.

Did Nate choke? I don't think he did.I believe the strength and concern of being taken down held Marquardt back as it did Florian against Maynard.Okami isn't the most exciting fighter but the guy gets it done and I'm glad he's finally getting his shot, He earned it.
