Pacquiao wins by late TKO. Margarito has a puncher's chance AT BEST to win this fight. I still will not lay 5 to 1 though. Margarito hits like a motherfvcker and if he connects with one of those slow wide haymakers then it's lights out for Manny. I don't think he will be able to mount any offense on Manny though, Pac is too fast.Comment -

#51wasn't taking any shots about mexicans. just making the point on how boxing isn't even a sport that anyone cares about anymore because we have these supposed "big fights" with two fighters that weight 150 lbs. If i wanted to watch that i could go to the local bar on a friday night. Its just sad how fast this sport fell when all of a sudden all the greats were suddenly gone and there was no one to replace them. Its just funny how they put all this drama out to try and get a few people to care enough to buy the fight. Who cares who wins, they are nothing compared to the fighters 15 years ago.ya, i have seen him fight and i would love to see Tyson land haymaker on his ass and turn out the lights. That is what boxing is all about. Not to little, normal size guys dancing around in the ring. I want to see guys that can put the lights out in 1 punch. If you are going to argue that boxing is anywhere near where it was than I don't know what to say to you. now we have these panzies talking smack and then avoiding fights and then when they do fight they dance around the ring ending up in another decision. I wouldn't pay $5 to watch any of this shit anymore. Rather watch Butter Bean make a comebackwasn't taking any shots about mexicans. just making the point on how boxing isn't even a sport that anyone cares about anymore because we have these supposed "big fights" with two fighters that weight 150 lbs. A great fighter is a great fighter. The size isn't important.
Yes Tyson was great. You think everyone loves the one punch knock out? Are you old enough to remember the Mike Tyson vs Peter McNeely fight? I remember a lot of people that were pissed off because they bought a PPV to watch a fight and the ring entrance was longer. People want to see a good fight.
Manny has 38 KOs. You do see knock outs in lower weight classes. You also can see more action in the fight because they don't get gassed so fast.
When Tyson was around they talked about the old days with Ali, Liston, Forman and so on. But it wasn't just them. There were big fighters in other weight classes.
Sugar Ray Leonard
Hector Camacho
Roberto Duran
Marvin Hagler
Thomas Hearns
The list goes on.
Then there are fighters from lower weight classes around Tysons time that were big.
Roy Jones Jr.
Arturo Gatti
Oscar De La Hoya
Shane Mosley
If you only watch the heavy weights you are missing some amazing fights.
If you just want to see heavy weight fights there is always Sumo.

#52Anybody who says there's no good boxing these days clearly doesn't know boxing. And anybody who says they only like watching heavyweight bouts clearly knows exactly jack sh!t about boxing.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand...
Have all of you forgotten Pacquiao's recent fights? He's always fighting guys that are bigger than him. When he fought De la Hoya, all you heard from the "experts" was that he was going to get overpowered, because De la Hoya was too big and too strong. I was ready to unload on Pacquiao for that fight, but because there were so many of these assholes writing and talking about Manny being no match for him, they talked me out of the bet. And we all know how that ended. Now we are hearing the same thing, about a guy who hasn't proven himself to be anything close to what Oscar was, and was also recently proven to be fighting with loaded wraps. You guys are just 24/7 suckers. Take the dog if you want to lose. Tell me how long ago it was that Pacquiao has even been truly challenged in a fight. Over the past few years, he has dominated wire to wire.
Manny wins easy. He's too fast, and yes, he hits very, very hard. If any of you doubters had actually watched his fights, you'd know what I'm talking about. My bet is already in on this one.
Have fun watching the fight!Comment -

Also, I gotta say - I think he's guilty, too, that he knew about the wraps and probably got away with it for quite some time. They make entirely too many jokes about it, as evidenced by the 24/7 series, this YouTube video, etc. They would have you believe that only an innocent could be so comfortable making jokes (actually, it's just one unfunny joke told over and over and over again) about it. Their effort is completely transparent though, in my opinion, and I think he knew entirely what he was doing. You can't have your hands wrapped with plaster of paris and not know. Think about it -- if you know what Plaster of Paris is like when it's wet and being applied, then you know that there is no way that he could have not known. Even with his eyes closed he would have known!!! They expect us to believe that story???

#63Margarito has a legitament shot. He is a warrior and will not quit. Also he's in top notch shape and might actually have better stamina than manny for this fight... along with probably 10 pound weight advantage.. reach advantage... height advantage and i'd give margo the better chin as well.
Manny's best chance at winning is using proper boxing in and out with his speed since he is the faster man.
I think this is a real fight.
I have been fooled by rob arum though so don't be suprised if margarito falls after 6 rounds.Comment -
