    Mizugaki +285
This is my biggest underdog MMA bet to date.

Faber biggest problems have been with tough guys who can
stand toe to toe standing. Mizugaki is just like that and I expect fireworks.

I know also that Mizugaki can take anything Fabers throws at him standing
    or on the ground.

    ROOT FOR AN UPSET HERE!

It's possible, WEC are relying on Faber winning this so that they can set up a Cruz vs Faber re-match for the title and would really throw a spanner in to the works if he goes and loses! Faber is going to have to use his wrestling if he wants to win this, I dont foresee him finishing Mizugaki either but do expect him to take a decision.

asian fighters usually fall short of expectations in the big organizations outside of asia....of course there are always a few exceptions...(okami/kim come to mind)....i don`t consider machida "asian"(i guess you could argue that issue)..

even gomi struggled when he was near the top of his game comiing west to fight nick diaz(then thought to be a good but not elite fighter)...he beat gomi at his own game(stand-up).....

aoki was drubbed by melendez...sexyama couldn`t be considered a raging success outside japan...

i expect faber(who i honestly think is a bit overrated...beating many middle of the road guys in the early limited talent pool of the wec on his way to a big rep) to do enough here........... i watched faber get absolutely owned by tyson griffin....

but i fully expect him to do enough here..anything remotely close goes faber`s way in sacramento....

I'm on Faber also... I think he grinds out a decision here.
Mizugaki is no joke, but he won't be able to handle Fabers top game.

Yea it does look like they are lining up Faber for a title shot, it does not always work out the way the UFC wants but in this case i think it will

There is always a chance it affects him but he did a trial run to 140lb before hand so he knew what he was getting himself into. He was already up over 155 early this morning. And I can't imagine the cardio hurting him in a 3 round fight. This isn't a good stylistic matchup for Mizugaki IMO. I think its gunna be a rough night for him!

Mizugaki's most impressive performance was his fight with MIguel Torres. He grinded that fight out and fought it like a true contender should. He has been rather mediocre since and it's a bad style match up for him as well.

Faber is well rounded and can do everything Mizugaki can, but a lot better.

The only way I see Mizu winning this one is if Faber runs into a wild over hand right.

Weight-cut shouldnt be an issue, I'd be more concerned about his fragile hands tht tend to break as soon as he connects with anything!

The value might be Mizugaki as he is at +320 to +345 around my books. Yes Faber should win, but it's hard laying ton of juice here IMO.
