Can Georges St-Pierre make it happen?
Georges St- Pierre now has the chance to get his old title back from the hands of current champion Matt Serra, the guy who took it away from him.

UFC 83 is giving the Canadian a shot at the title he once own, and St-Pierre has been training like crazy, eager to claim the UFC title for his country.

Can he make it happen this time?

Serra is tougher than people give him credit for. But St. Pierre is the best athlete to ever grace an MMA stage to this point.

Serra has a puncher/ submission fighter's chance, but St. Pierre should win in strong fashion.

St. Pierre is going to come in prepared and win handily. He is much bigger and stronger than Serra, not to mention more well rounded. I think Serra had an excellent gameplan in the first fight while St Pierre thought he would walk right through him. St. Pierre in front of the hometown crowd will end this fight early and in brutal fashion.

Here's a preview. St. Pierre is just too good of an athlete.

I don't see Serra beating him again. GSP is one of the top guys in the game right now. GSP will be ready to avenge his loss.

GSP is my absolute favorite fighter and I like him to win this one, but it's pretty crazy to lay 4 to 1 with him. I'll bet on Serra getting those odds.

Im not even interested in this fight, All i want to see is GSP-Silva, now that would be the most anticpated fight ever in the ufc. GSP could surely move up in weight and fight anderson.

St. Pierre is the real deal. Serra is a mouth with muscles attached.

I seriously don't see this happening. Right now in MMA, guys in the wrong weight class have problems.

Yeah, GSP is so skeletal looking. Maybe he could stand to pack on another 15 lbs of muscle. It would be interesting to see if he could still maintain his quickness. But in a sport where precision timing and body control are so critical. I'd imagine that even gaining that much weight could throw his whole equilibrium off. One slip and it's all over in this sport. That would suck for GSP fans. lol

Back in the day, I was a Roy Jones Jr. fan. The best pound for pound boxer, they say. It made me kinda sad when he decided to move up in weight. I guess he proved his point or whatever. But there's not much to prove when you simply demolish everyone in your own weight class. But, I don't think GSP is near this level yet. RJJ would have trouble getting fights in his own weight class, he was so dominant, nobody wanted to fight him.

Pinny has this line: GSP -450, Serra +416.

My play is Serra to win 1 unit.

GSP wins the majority of the time, but Serra pulls the upset at least 25-30% of the time in this spot. The bet is decent value for the dog.

I actually like serra but i only give him about a 20% chance to retain his belt. i think it may go longer than most think though but probably a submission in the 3rd round.
