No it wasn't fixed, most people who have seen Brock fight before knew that this was in store. He has no stand up defense and just turtles up and hopes to weather the storm, but Cain was never going to relent. Brock went down and the ref had to call the fight. Went exactly how most of the fighters, trainers, people associated to the fight game thought it would.

It just looks so bizarre that someone with his size and background could be such a bitch when it comes to being on the wrong end of punches and knees. If he was like, 150 pounds, like me, it wouldn't look so bad. As big as he is, it makes it look like some kind of movie stunt, haha.

Anyone else think this was called off WAY too early? He was still defending himself and we've seen him in past fights get up from that and win. I think he was ripped off and I dont even have a horse in the race.

He could barely stand when Cain first rocked him and he stumbled across the ring and couldnt find his equilibrium. Was similar to the Leben TKO of Simpson except Lesnar had a horrific cut on his cheek just to make it worse!

If this fight was fixed then all of Lesnar's fights have been fixed. Try to pay attention to what you are watching. What happened was a typical Lesnar style fight. He did exactly what he's always done. The exact same thing happened against Carwin except Velasquez was clearly better at taking advantage of Lesnar's weaknesses. Lesnar did his best, but his best was too typical and almost standard for him.

i don't think he was as good as he could of been, didn't he lose weight for this fight 15lbs? maybe the weight loss drain him he was as strong who knows.T here will be a rematch im sure and brock will look much better trust that!!

This fight went down like Fedor/Sapp would have or something lol. Brock got owned, but will come back stronger.
Still... don't bet against Cain. I'm so tempted to bet on JDS against him if his line is right, but I'm worried and will probably hold off.

The most likely scenario will be Brock/Mir III to set Brock up for another title shot - $$$$$$ #'s $$$$$$

I really want to see him fight JDS though - too many people are down on Cigano's TDD. I think he'd keep it standing against Brock, eventually getting the TKO.

I dont think it was fixed but It looked like a good fight until Lesnar got rocked. I was suprise to see Lesnar lose hit belt especially in the first round. Who do you think valazaquez fights first in defending the title?

I was really surprised at how dumb Lesnar's plan was. To bum rush a guy like that when you don't have the cardio to keep it up is not a smart move. Yeah you want to push your opponent, but that was just running at someone with random aggression. And the more tired he got, the less Cain had to worry about unloading on him. I don't know what they were thinking.

I don't think Brock had any cardio problems in that fight. Also if the fight goes to round 4 or 5 it's very likely Brock would lose anyways. If Brock had been able to keep Cain down he would be easily able to go at least 3 rounds at a good pace since he would be the one dictating the pace of the fight. No point in not rushing a guy that's going to beat you in a cardio battle and try to control the fight from the start. Lots of people are saying it was a bad strategy, but what do you suggest Lesnar should have done? Stand up and get KO'd by Cain perhaps? Accept a takedown and use his 12th degree black belt in professional wrestling to force a submission? The only thing Lesnar screwed up was trying to better his position on the ground before securing it. Had he got a 3rd or 4th takedown this might have changed. It would be really hard for his camp to know Cain wasn't going to be held down enough for a bigger and stronger Lesnar to get to half guard. I don't think Lesnar was even remotely tired. Lesnar was just dazed from the shots and wasn't given an opportunity to fully recover because of constant pressure.

Wow. How one fight makes all the difference well maybe two. Before this fight I thought with his style he's going to be champ for a while. Now I'm not so sure he will ever win consecutive matches again.

I don't think anyone believed that Velasquez would blow his load and gas like Carwin though. Cain is known to be a cardio machine and has proven he can go the distance. I think most Lesnar backers thought that Lesnar would be able to wear Velasquez out with his size on the ground.

It is easy to pick winners retrospectively, but you have to remember a fight won't play out the same way every time.

They will probably give have a favorable match up next. Being able to take a punch is innate and his turtle defense isn't going to cut it.

Cain landed that one knee and then Brock went running! Although he looks big and tough he cant take a punch. He ends up running away and then turtles up.

By the way Lesnar came out and bull rushed him in the begining, and wanted that takedown so bad... I think he knew that his best option was to end the fight early. I can see Cain holding the title for a while. Time always tells...

brock will be back. he took down cain early in the fight, he was just too eager to advance position. shoulda slowed down.
