Anyone else feel bad for Koschecks team
Gsp is bringing all these world class people around the team. Koscheck just doesn't seem to have the same connections kinda sucks for his team. Hard to lay an egg When you have Iron Mike come visit before your fight.

I would hardly call Bob Cook (Head trainer at AKA), Dave Camarillo (great jiu-jitsu coach and cornerman) and Daniel Cormier (Olympic wrestler) scrub coaches lol. AKA is one of the most successful camps in the world and these guys are an integral part of it.

I beg to differ. If Koscheck's guys listen to everything he is saying and apply it, they will be better. Better than what they would get from GSP's buffet? Nah.

Koschek definitely knows some great coaches. I missed the last couple episodes so i can't speak on who he's brought it. He definitely knows world-class guys, even though he's a douche.

I'd rather train under world-class coaches than get pep talks from world-class fighters. That's just me.

Based upon the picks shouldn't gsp's guys won?

Koscheck's team will probably win, they got better fighters for the most part.

You realize they are training with these coaches for a very short period or time. They will learn stuff but impressions can make a bigger difference in the situation they are in. You realize the training they do on the show is alot different than normal training. Greg Jackson's camp is world class Koscheck has a great camp but it isnt on the same level. Therefor I will go with World class training partner GSP, World class strateg'e in Greg Jackson over AKA. I think AKA is good its just not the same.

Both teams have great coaches. While Greg Jackson's camp gets more recognition, AKA has arguably just as much success. Off top of my head i think Kos, Fitch, Swick, Thompson, Valesquez, Rockhold. Also, im sure you do not get an accurate portrayal of the training from watching a "reality" tv show.

the teams are an illusion for the viewers. The fighters don't give a damn.

I feel bad for his team for having to deal with him. He's 30-something and acts like a 12-year-old bully. I would pray to be on GSP's team.

If you were going to fight on a reality show, you'd gravitate toward the team with more celebrity status? While you compete for GSP's attention, Greg Jackson whispers advice to GSP, and Iron Mike tussles your hair I would be completely jealous. Then I would take my passionate anger out in my training sessions where we got down and learned some things from guys who are there to teach.

I'm not sure how you can value a day of Mike Tyson meet and greets over a month or so with a world-class coaching staff teaching you. I'm not bashing Team GSP, I just think your reasoning for dispelling Team Koscheck is flawed. Especially when you consider the advantage of having a coach that has actually gone through the same process you're currently going through.

Team GSP is better at every aspect of the game except if Dave Camarillo is teaching his Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu. I'm not aware if he is part of the coaches. He is the true star coach they have. Anyways once your in the UFC you instantly have celebrity status. Why not be around it now and get extra benefit from it. Also if having Iron Mike give you a pep talk and it doesn't do much for you, go play with dolls. How many people in the history of fighting struck fear in people like he did. If you could get an ounce of what his killer instinct for your fight you would be lucky.

I don't really feel like arguing (particularly when it's not even apparent what I'm arguing about anymore), so I will just say that, no, I do not feel bad for Team Koscheck. They are in good hands.

Yee think your talking about John Danaher in GSP's camp - he's one of BJJ's best kept secrets, IMO he is the most cerebral guy in MMA and is the real brains behind both GSP and Matt Serra. He is dedicated to BJJ and even wore his rashguard to Matt Serra's wedding! Also, quite ironically, Dave Camarillo (Team Koshcheck's BJJ coach) has said on his website that Danaher is the greatest BJJ coach on the planet and is his biggest inspiration! He's also worked with the AKA team before, especially Fitch. Ther are stories of how he taps out guys who weight 50lbs more then him for fun, including Guy Ritchie's bodyguard who was a hulking purple belt and apparently Danaher made him look silly!

I agree with you 100% by the way I have been a GSP fan since he beat Mayhem I always liked his style. I seen the their first first in person it didn't seem to be close at all. But i didn't get all the great camera angles that you get from PPV. I hope it is a good fight. GSP seems untouchable right now. I think a fighter should be pushed every now and then.

I'll admit it, after last nights show I did feel a little bad for Andy Main. The losing is definitely getting to Koscheck and he handled that kid the wrong way.

It's not that Koschecks team/coaches suck it is just that GSP came in with Yankee money and Koscheck is coming in Marlins money.

This is the only place we disagree. Jackson's camp is probably Yankee money, but I think AKA is well above Marlin money. Maybe Phillies money?

GSP team is doing well but i hope Koscheck beat him bad when they fight.
