Right on. At least he still has fast hands which are always dangerous.

I really can't wait for this fight. I'd love to see Silva vs Sonnen 2, but I'd much rather watch Silva vs Belfort.

The UFC has been taking some heat for this fight. Vitor dosn't deserve a shot, he hasn't even won at 185 i the UFC etc... I don't care i'd much rather watch this fight than Marqurdt, Okami even the Sonnen rematch.

I believe Jones/Bader is the co-main event? Could be a sick card.

Vitor's last fight was Sept 19, 2009. That's already one year of ring-rust.

Belfort's too far past it to beat Silva at this point. I agree with the dude who said Silva would clinch him and knee the shit out of him.

Silva opened as a -300 favourite. I didn't think the line would be that high actually. Belfort went into both of his previous fights as an underdog (of +125, and +145) against Franklin and Lindland, and came out victorious both times. But, as it stands, I don't think he should be that big of a ML underdog.

Vitor definitely deserves this title shot after getting "injured" at the most convenient time.

If you haven't noticed, the UFC is all about fan base which leads to PPV buys, which leads to profits. It doesn't matter whether Okami deserves a title shot (which he doesn't). It's about what fights the fans want to see first. For example, Brock Lesnar comes into the UFC, loses to Mir, beats Herring, takes the title from Couture all in a span of over 9 months. Meanwhile, Lyoto Machida comes into the UFC in 2007 and has to win six fights before he gets his shot at the title. Rashad Evans comes into the UFC in 2005, goes 7-0-1 before the UFC gives him a shot.

anyway lets say that by some fluke vitor wins,i give him a 1% chance.it would take him another year or two to defend that title since he is always injured.even his fans would loose interest at that point.this is going to be a 5 round fight so just imagine the damage to victor and how long it will take for him to heal.

This will be a good fight to watch. I don't think either fighter will have any intention of going to the ground. Essentially, it's a fight to see who's got the better stand-up game. Ignoring his DQ loss to Okami back in 2006, keep this in mind: Anderson Silva hasn't lost a fight since New Year's Eve 2004. Silva is on an absolute tear with his unprecedented 12-fight win streak in the UFC which looks something like this: 4 KOs, 3 TKOs, 3 submissions, and 2 decisions.
I think Silva will win via TKO

The planned UFC 126 in Pitt, Pa got scrapped so now this card is UFC 126 and there will be no late Jan event.

Bader vs Jones should be the co-main event. Franklin is more of a gatekeeper. With his problematic glass jaw, he doesn't have what it takes to be a champion. Run Forrest run!
Either way, I think Bones will have his way with Bader, and Forrest will outduel Franklin to a decision.
