I had Andre Winner so I didn't like it either, but Winner should have known that that is all Lentz had and used better takedown defense.

We've all seen aggressive takedown defense when a wrestler is 'stuffed' and kept at distance.

all i'm saying is how are you gona be allowed to grab and hold a guy for three full rounds and do nothing else, there should be a breakig up rule, like the standing you up rule if you're not busy enough on the ground, i just think its terrible for mma, it's like boxers who don't throw no punches, just get in the ring and stare at each for twelve rounds

i felt he wasn't effective mostly stalling, didn''t do enough damege to win the fight

lentz won, boring and ugly but he won. thats his discipline and it works. its what pays his bills and what he is great at, winner needed to stuff them and or active a guard. and lentz was to avoid getting his head ripped off and i think he managed that by being on top and in control

but it's not just about control, its about effective aggression, doing damage, submission atempts, strikes, things like that, in boxing you can make a guy miss all you want but if the other guy is landing a few more punches than you ,you lose, mma would be unwatcheble if everyone fought like Nik Lentz

Winner won first round, Slight edge to Lentz in second round, then the third round was definite Lentz and thts what gave him the win, had Winner down and had his back. But like u say was very frustrating and not entertaining, but then again, Winner should of used his footwork more and circled. Compare his footwork to Frankie Edgars for instance...Franky's is just on a whole different level to most lightweights, do u think Lentz would be able to do the same stalling hug against the cage against Edgar...no way!
