Does Anyone Else Think Dan Miller Is Not Good Enough To Be -250 Over John Salter
I see value in Salter. Both guys don't really impress me. Salter was avoiding standing with MacDonald like the plague, while Maia soundly outstruck Miller. Salter is a NAIA wrestling champion though with a lot of NOGI grappling tournaments under his belt and Miller has no real standup power or bottom BJJ game of note. This could be a sloppy cointoss type of fight. I'd love to hear why anyone would lay the juice on Miller.

Come to think of it, Dan Miller is overrated by the betting public going by odds. He was actually a favorite over Chael Sonnen, a huge favorite over Matt Horwich(which was a close fight), and only a small dog against Bisping(which honestly baffled me)

I agree, this fight is pretty much a coin toss for me, if not, then Miller should be -150 at most and Salter +125 or something. You can still get Salter at +240 on Sportsbook which is awesome value IMO. Ive added him to a parlay (at +200), if I could of got him at +225 or better I would have put a small single play on him.

Miller will be fighting to stay in the UFC, but as you said he hasn't shown a lot lately.

4 units on Salter at +240.

Ah yes I forgot to mention that Miller is fighting to stay in the UFC so is gonna be a desperate man in my post above...this fact was the main reason why I havn't done a single bet on Salter but just put him in a parlay, in addition to only being able to get him at +200!

I think Miller is going to win a comfortable decision, but I would agree that if there's any value in this line it would be on Salter. Salter's standup is really atrocious, from what I've seen (not that Miller is some Anderson Silva, but he should have the edge), and I think he won't have an easy time taking down Miller. No-play for me.

Certainly can't argue with anyone looking for a value play with Salter... Got him in a small parlay.

One thing I will say is that in reviewing Maia's fights for the Miranda match, I did re-watch the Maia vs Miller fight, and in round 3, Maia had Miller on his back; and Miller was surprisingly active given such a high level bjj stud was on top -- he was throwing elbows from the bottom, and attempted a triangle. So if Salter slips up from top position, he could get caught given Miller's experience...
