looks like a decent card but nothing id write home about. Mir is my favorite fighter so it will be nice to see him fight. The title fight could be good since Timmy is very hard to beat and they have contrasting styles.

Tyson should put on another great fight. He had 4 FOTY canidates last year.

There is also a backdoor shot i see this one live so i have a lot of interest in this show for many reasons.

I will be rooting for and betting Mir. He looked good in his last fight and I think he is going to be even better this fight. Not a fan of Lesnar at all. I think if Mir is even close to what he use to be he wins this fight.

I am staying away from the Lesnar-Mir fight because Mir hasn't shown to be his old self yet so I would like to see him put up a quality performance before betting on him against an absolute beast in Lesnar. I also think Lesnar is a wild card. He seems like he has been training his ass off and approaching this in the right way to be successful, but you can't tell how far along he is by simply mounting a weak opponent and beating him up. Cause that will not happen to Mir so easily.

I am anxious to see the line in the Big Nog vs Sylvia fight.

Mir did look good in his last fight against Hardonk but then again we didn't get to see very much and Hardonk has horrible ground game. I'm leaning towards Lesnar because of his strength advantage. Not betting it though.

I think Martin versus Eastman could be a cool fight to watch. Both are roughneck brawlers. This might be fun to watch a real brawl. I get bored with too much ground game. I'll definitely take Martin -200, I don't know what the line is.

I'll take Mir +160 all day. People saying they want to wait to see if Mir will become his old self again, you're just passing up an easy payday.

Here's a preview of Mir vs. Lesnar with a link after the first few paragraphs. I think Mir should win. But if it goes deep into the fight, it's hard to say.

January 22, 2008: Frank Mir is slated to take on former WWE star Brock Lesnar in his UFC debut at UFC 81 on February 2, 2008. Both fighters have questions to answer.
In other words, one fighter is going to be very unhappy after this one.

First, let’s talk about where Frank Mir was before he broke his femur in two places and tore all the ligaments in his knee in a motorcycle accident. At that time, Mir—the UFC Heavyweight Champion—could only be described as a very rare MMA athlete: A big guy that practiced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with the same fluidity as much smaller men normally do.

Frank Mir knew every submission in the book. He was very flexible for a big man. But there were two things beyond this that also served to set him apart:

                          1. Mir always came into fights looking to finish them. He didn’t mess around with the normal feeling out process. Rather, he aggressively looked for submissions, and this is why six of his eight pre- injury victories came in the first round.

For the rest of this story, go to this link:

I see Brock Lesnar is now down to only a -150 favorite.

I really don't like to lay chalk at all, but the way he has been putting in 9+ hours a day in training for the past 3-4 months. I gotta take my chances with him in this spot.
