    Kessler out of Super 6
Mikkel Kessler dropped out of the Super 6 yesterday due to an eye injury. Link to the story here.

I think the best thing to do from here on in is to drop Green from the tournament and go on with Ward vs. Dirrell and Froch vs. Abraham, but makes those bouts semi-final matches with the winners facing off in the finals. According to the linked story, Kessler has an agreement to fight whoever wins the tournament.

That sucks, i would have liked to see him face Abraham and Green. Thos would be great fights! All action packed.

I actually thought Froch beat Kessler when they fought and Ward beat him easy too so this isn't all that bad imo. There are still a lot of fantastic fights that will take place in this tournamnet.

that was one of my largest boxing plays of the year, Froch was something like -280 in live betting around the 5th round... I though Froch edged him out as well but I ended up losing a bundle, props to Kessler for finishing stong.

I actually think we're getting a lot of value on Dirrell at +270

There were a lot of rounds where Froch was making Kessler miss and landing clean jabs and right hands to the face of Kessler and Mikkel was reduced to mostly landing body and arm punches. I also believe Froch landed the cleaner shots in that fight, but it's true that Kessler came on strong down the stretch and Froch tired a little bit.

+270 is a very good value bet, up to this point Ward has faced limited fighters that are not capable of using angles and speed like Dirrel and that could be exactly what is needed to beat Ward.

Ward is the favorite for good reason though so I wouldn't make to big of a play on Dirrel. I remember someone on another site told me that in the amatuers they both fought in the same division, but once in the Olympics their handlers chose to have Ward move up a division so they would have to face eachother. They chose Ward because he seemed mentally strong enough to face bigger men.
