Chael Sonnen will get another shot at UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva early next year and light heavyweight champ Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua will face Rashad Evans in the spring or early-summer, UFC President Dana White announced today on ESPN’s SportsCenter.

Yea, I agree he should fight, but for the paycheck. Fuk the title, this is a job and I dont see how he passes on 100K to 250K.

There's really no one for Rashad to fight. He earned the title shot after the Thiago fight, but Rampage came back and Shogun got a rematch. After Rampage came back Rashad beat him and earned a title shot again. It doesn't really make sense for Rashad to fight some no name that isn't in a match already and risk getting injured for a title shot he's already guaranteed. Training for Shogun and focusing on winning that fight will make him the most money in the long run. If there was a #2 contender out there it would be alright for Rashad to fight him, but there isn't. Rampage and Machida are both coming off losses and one of them could potentially get a title shot after that fight.

I agree with Philly his extra fight before the title already happened and it was against Rampage.
