    UFC Betting
The first rule of UFC betting – or MMA betting in general – is anyone can win a fight. It may sound vague, it may sound general, but you have to be conscious of the fact that anyone can end up unconscious with one unexpected punch. Why this is important for betting is this there is no such thing as a lock.UFC is a growing sport and the casual guy doesn’t follow it as closely as he does the four major sports. Never mind the casual bettor, many don’t even offer fairly basic lines when you consider how popular the sport has become.

Its probably because its to unpredictable and to young of a sport for them to predict and profit from. I agree but the sport is still in its infancy.

Picking and choosing fights is the best, once in a while some "locks" come around

you dont have to wager every card

find an edge, pick your spot, and hammer the books

anyone have any good betting stat sights for MMA, I do not think one exists, not a search able one anyway. Sherdog is pretty good but you have to do your own number crunching.

I was specifically wondering about the # of short dogs that cash

IE +110 to +150 Seems to me like the small dogs bite a lot in MMA, any thoughts?

MMA is real fun to bet on, and the results are so unpredictable (lately especially) that dogs are almost always a solid bet over time. If I've learned anything it is to bet on the wrestler. They are the most consistent winners, as demonstrated by guys like Fitch, Warren, Askren, etc, and lesser known ones are often great live dogs.
