    Jon Bones Jones goes tonight
The best fighter pound for pound in all of MMA goes tonight. If you haven't seen this freak of nature, don't miss him. He's got the power of an ox and the speed of a cobra. Check him out.

I enjoy watching Jonny Bones fight as much as the next guy, but it might be a bit early to hail him the "best fighter pound for pound in all of MMA" when his best result to date is a win over Brandon Vera, who is 3-5 in his last eight fights.

He needs to fight someone in the top 10 before you can start talking p4p. He has a ton of potential though SJ.

Jonny "Bones" Jones does beat that ass, but he still is growing in this MMA thing. No crown just yet.

Fedor? Fedor is a stiff...and his last fight proved it. He couldn't hold Shogun, Brock, Cain, or even Carwin's jock.

jones was very good tonight.i expected him to win but not that easy.

fedor lost because he was completely careless,it happens when you have won 30+ fights in a row.fedor and cain are the best two heavyweights.shogun is very good at 205 but jones could beat him.carwin is also very good as long as he ends the fight in the first round.cain will become the heavyweight champion when he fights brock.i predict the fight going 5 rounds.

I see by your avatar you're a fan of MMA therefore I would expect your comment to be more astute. This guy may not have the pedigree in terms of beating big names but I have never seen anyone so thoroughly dominate every last one of his opponents. He is scary and that wing span makes those striking angles even more unorthodox than they already are. He is as adept on the ground as he is on his feet. His only loss came by a DQ because he came down with a midnight to 6 elbow that split his fallen opponent wide open. After the DQ instead of bitching he just humbly stated that rules are rules and he violated them.

The only unanswered question is his ability to take a punch which obviously is a huge question mark. And anyone who thinks these fighters get better after age 30-32 is not being realistic. Anderson Silva is a great fighter but past his prime and he will be defeated shortly. Mark my words. This kid is 23 and he's got the MMA world by the cajones.

Swinging Johnson, you're too smart to say things like that. Give the kid more time before putting him in the pound-for-pound discussion.

While his victories are pure domination, he's also fighting scrubs. If you had any of the other names in the discussion fighting scrubs, the domination would be just as bad.

Point taken Key. Perhaps I should have said "will be pound for pound" the best fighter in MMA. But this kid is unique and I don't say that casually. There aren't too many fighters that catch my eye. In fact, the last one who did was when I was a young guy and he vanquished his opponents in the same brutal fashion but with far less repetoire due to the limitations of his sport and I am referring to Mike Tyson on his acension to the heavyweight throne.

His angularity and ability to defeat world class wrestlers at their own game as well commanding an arsenal of weapons at his disposal is jaw dropping. At 6'4" his agility is cat-like and his strikes are like laser beams. He's got a huge advantage over anyone with his reach and unless he's got a glass chin, he will have a belt around his waist in no time. Thank you for your rejoinder Key.

I wonder what the odds would be if there were a future on Jones to win the UFC LHW title by the end of 2011?
