    Schaub v. Tuchscherer @ 116
What is everyone's thoughts on Brendan Schaub v. Chris Tuchscherer? I don't remember Schaub being a great wrestler or having excellent takedown defense, and Tuch seems to be Brock version 2.0... same game plan, same skill set, just weaker, fatter, and not as good. At +250 for Tuchscherer though, I see a lot of value in the lay and pray strategy.

This guy trains everyday with Brock and will have completed the same exact camp as they're fighting on the same card. I don't expect his hands to be great, and Schaub is a solid striker, but I can't help but think that mini-Brock will get the takedowns and grind it out real ugly.

Considering Tuchscherer +250 in a parlay with Krzysztof over Bonnar, -235. Thoughts?

Tuchscherer isn't too bad of a play. Schaub did get out of trouble against anyone with wrestling on the show and came back to win fairly early in all his fights. Also Tuch was easily dominated by Gonzaga who has good striking. He barely beat Tim Hague. Schaub also has much better cardio and will only need one opportunity in 3 rounds. Another thing to look at is Schaub's last fight against Gormley, Gormley also has a wrestling background and was unable to use it. Schaub clearly has an edge in my opinion, but if Tush comes in ready he can grind out a win. When it comes to the Bonnar fight, I don't think there's much value in Kryzstof because their last fight was so close and could easily go Bonnar's way this time around. Individually the plays aren't that bad though. Both fights will probably be no plays for me, if I end up making a play I think it might be for Bonnar because of the line.

ill place a small wager on tuch, he is tough as nails and schaub doesnt have a chin, the line is way off.

I will be on bonnar tho.

Schuab is an athletic beast and he's still relatively new to the game so don't be surprised if he comes into this fight vastly improved from his last.

I wouldn't parlay anything with Krzysztof. There's lots of value in Bonnar here, who is a much better play in my opinion if you want to put some money on a live dog.

I'm on Tuschscherer at +220 (went in early) and he's at +240 now so I'd make a small play on him. He will have the wrestling advantage, but he does gas fairly easily... I'm just not so sure which Schaub will show up. Schaub does have heavy hands, but I don't put too much stock in that. Tusch is the value play and could pull the upset. People don't like betting on him b/c he's fat and ugly, that is all.

Bonnar is another good value bet. His first fight w/ Krzysztof was pretty close w/ Krz getting the best of the exchanges. But that fight could have gone either way w/ the crazy judging today. I'll take Bonnar fighting for his life to stay active in the UFC at +190.

Tons of value for Tuschscherer here at +250. There is too much hipe on Schaub IMO. I think this will be a close one personaly. Tusch is one tough dude.

            Best of luck people!

Im on Tucsh small. Schaub was taken down all day on the show. I figured once Roy Nelson took him down, it would be side mount - fight over. But, he got up off of his back. He is very athletic and I think he has a steep learning curve so it would not suprise me if he showed much improved td defense. But I expect him to be taken down often.

Schaub should win this, he's used to having Carwin taking him down everyday in training! His striking is gonna be much better than Tuscherers...Im predicting a late TKO/KO. Wont be betting on him tho, ther is more value in Tuscherer at +240 or better, will probly use Schaub in a parlay tho.

Yeah, I'm staying away from this one. Schaub got out from underneath Nelson, and (with the assist from grabbing the fence) was able to stand back up against Madsen, who is arguably a better wrestler than Tuscherer. Gut says Schaub takes this, but the price just isn't right.

Thanks for the wake up call on Krzysztof everyone... I remember thinking he was winning the last fight, but you're all right here, not enough value for him for as close as it was. I just don't like Bonnar. He's been nothing but crap since the steroids. I'll probably stay away from this fight.

I still like Tuchscherer, but not as much as before. Thanks Kaladarus for the heads up on the Gormley fight. I haven't really done my HW yet and I don't remember Schaub's fight with him. I'll have to check it out. Gonna keep an eye out and see if I can get more value on Tuch before I get on it. I'm on a good streak right now, not trying to ruin it.

You all talked me out of Kryzstzof... thanks for that. I forgot how close it was last time. I still think he'll win but the worth is not there. Haven't like Bonnar since the 'roids though, he's been crap.

Still interested in Tuchsch but not as much. Gonna wait and see if the line gets any better.

Schaub wins easily, but do what you want.
