Im wondering whether Varner is going to be totally focussed going in to this fight tonight against the 'Persian Prince'. He has done interviews saying that Shalorus shouldnt be understimated and he is the best unknown fighter but I think the whole anti-Varner movement from MMA fans after the Cerrone fight has got to him psychologically. He is an emotional dude and seems like he needs the adulation to boost his confidence. He has clearly been making obvious attempts to try and become more 'fan friendly' with his constant facebook and twitter updates and more blatently his rather cringeworthy blogs and interviews he's been doing recently...it almost seems as if he's trying too hard to get more respect from fans rather than just concentrating on letting his fighting do the talking. He also mentioned that it has been his hardest weight cut ever going in to this fight. Don't get me wrong, I dont dislike Varner and I think Varner could, and probably will win this seeing as I've bet on Shalorus! but I just get the feeling he might get rocked tonight and go on a Miguel Torres like run of bad defeats. Ive put Varner in a parlay as back up just incase he does win! BOL all tonight!

Im going with varner -175 tonight.Jamie has way more experience and has fought and beatin much tougher competition.Varner is also the more well rounded fighter.Kamal only had 7 fight and his stand up is sloppy as ****. Varner should be able to use his wreslting backround to stop Kamals takedowns and turn the fight into a striking match.Varners a much better boxer and should be able to pick Kamal apart.

And how about Karen Sh*t-the-bedyan losing as a huge fav for the 2nd fight in a row. I almost dropped a small play on Kerr just 'cos of of Karen's last loss as a huge fav, but didn't end up making a play

I hope they give Varner a title shot and Shalorus uses his wrestling more in his upcoming fights. After the point deduction in the 2nd he should of immediately used his wrestling to try and steal the round. Shalorus and his corner saw the game plan wasn't working in the first and should have changed it. I wonder how much the judges were paid.
