#9595you think he takes brimage?
they seem pretty similar in style
i think the line opens with brimage as a slight fave...
brimage -130
mcgregor +105
reasonable? or you have a special read on mcgregor? or does conor just take the carlos condit semi to a full chubby?Comment -

I think he's probably gonna smash Brimage. They've given him a fight where he doesnt have to worry about wrestling or BJJ so it's great stylistically for him. Only way he loses this is by decision if he gets carried away looking for the big punch KO and gets out-pointed with Brimage bouncing around on the outside! If anybody is getting a takedown it should be McGregor, if anybody is going for the sub it should be McGregor, and if anybody is going for the power shots its should be McGregor. Plus McGregor should be the bigger fighterComment -

#9598I'm thinking McGregor opens as a fave here, -150 to -200 maybe? There would be value there.Comment -

#9602never know, looked at a couple of "prediction" sites and they seem to favour Brimage. Perhaps a lot of casual fans over the pond might just think McGregor is some average Irish fighter who they are just putting on an average card in Sweden because he's European! Plus Brimage is no bum...he's a solid fighter who's won 3 on the bounce in the UFC at the end of the day.Comment -

#9603yeah I think so, never know with Sportbet/5dimes tho, all it takes is one or two max bets on the otherside and line could move to -125 or something! I'll take the chance tho that people realize after that Assuncao loss that Easton is a tad over-rated. His last three performances haven't exactly been very inspiring IMO...scraping a win against Papazian who has since demonstrated that he isnt quite UFC calibre even after dropping down a division, then cruised past Menjivar in a fight where barely anything happened, and then gets beat by a +250 underdog in Assuncao who stepped in on short notice. With Pickett on the other-hand, I dont think the split-decision loss to Wineland has had any significant negative affect on his status/reputation or whatever. Wineland is now fighting for the title and is clearly one of the best boxers in the division and has solid defensive wrestling. Pickett got better as the fight progressed and I thought he won the last round and he'd busted Wineland's face up a bit. Problem Pickett had was that he likes to move forward and push the pace and plant his feet, while Wineland was using constant movement and frustrating Picket in first half of fight. This should be an issue with Easton as he doesnt have the movement and footwork that Wineland has. Pickett also should have the edge in cardio and volume of striking - Easton can be very passive at times. Has to be a big favourite for FOTN as well as both are very durable and like to push forward and throw powerful hooks/uppercuts etc...Last edited by Vaughany; 03-18-13, 06:44 PM.Comment -

#9604Value in McGreggor at -200? Seriously? This is a very difficult fight for a guy whose best opponent isn't in the top 100. Brimmage is a very, very good fighter.
Brimmage will probably open as a favourite, and McGreggor will probably win, but it's a very tough fight for him.Comment -

#9605I'll admit -200 is a stretch, but there is certainly value at -150. If he opens as a dog, I'll be all over that line.Comment -

#9618All odds are out on unibet, and some of them def have some value:
Spang - Amagov, A 1,6 - 2,2 I cant see how Spang should be the favourite in this fight.
Corassani, A - Peralta, R - 2,2 - 1,6 I just don't see Akira "from the streets" Corassani winning this in any way.
I'm a swede and i will attend the event, but i really hate betting against my fellow countrymen.
