Ended up going to the event...last minute job, awesome night! This was the highlight!...

yeah, wasnt gonna go then about 2 hours before first fight started we thought fuuck it we'll go up ther and jus try and get tickets off a tout outside. Managed to get to the arena just after the Watson/Tavares fight and somehow managed to get two tickets off a couple of dudes who had come out to have a smoke and happened to have 2 spare tickets on them that they hadnt been able to sell. So we bartered with them and managed to get two tickets for £65 and these tickets had a original selling price online of £160 each! Then my other mate managed to get in for free with two guys who'd also come out for a smoke and had bought one of their mates tickets who was still in the arena so they jus said to my mate that he can try pretending that he'd come out for a smoke with them and jus to flash the ticket and hope they dont check carefully....didnt think it would work but somehow it did, he walked right through then jus came and sat with my other buddy! So paid £65 for three tickets that would of cost £480 if we'd bought them online! Managed to get in just before the Ogle fight. Manuwa fight was one I really wanted to see so glad we got ther before...that fight was crazy! Kingsbu is tough as fuuck! The seats we got were great as well, only about 20 to 25 metres from the cage and mid level so could still see into it. We had Paul Daley just in front of us on the level below so spoke to him for a bit and he said UFC hadn't offered him any tickets of course so he was sat in the normal ground level bit with his homies cheering on Dan Hardy! Also met Gunnar Nelson (came and sat a few rows behind us a couple hours after his fight), you wouldnt of thought he'd just won in his UFC debut, dude barely cracked a smile! John Hathaway also came up to our bit so chatted to him for a minute or two, nicest dude you could meet! Tried to get him to come out drinking with us but he was set on going to the casino and spunking his win bonus on the roulette! Funnily enough John Maguire's brother Tommy had come and sat two seats away from me with a buddy of his just a few minutes before Hathaway came up the stairs. He was depressed as fuckk, from what I could tell listening in he'd had fall out with his brother over him not listening to them! He was going on about Hathaway being an average fighter with no power and just wanted to lay on his brother for three-rounds. Said that John Maguire had had his best camp ever and should of destroyed him. Would of been interesting to see if he'd said anything to Hathaway if he'd of bumped in to him when he walked past a few minutes later!
Also met Valentino Petrescu and the Freak Show Fletcher from the latest TUF Australia...Fletcher had clown face paint on and shiit! Highlight was randomly meeting the black dude who deals with the cuts and vaseline etc... in between rounds...he walked past our way for some reason and then minutes after we met him he was back in the octagon workin on Jabouin after he got KO'd!
Only negative was that I pretty much got all my picks and bets right - Mills, Pickett, Hardy, Wiman, Gunnar - but because of the big loss on Nordine Taleb on Friday night and because Man Utd lost to Tottenham (had Man Utd PK in a parlay with Hardy, and Pickett) I don't think I ended up with any profit

Atletico scrape a 1-0 win even without Falcao. Was gonna add more to the 500 I had on Gunnar Nelson and Atletico but after the Taleb loss and Falcao not playing I couldnt risk it. Lost 1,100 on Taleb, and then made just over 1,100 from Hardy, Gunnar, Mills, Wiman and Atletico winning. Frustrating as hell as this Nottingham card was the one I was looking forward to most for betting and would of been a great wknd had Taleb not bottled it on Friday nightComment -

At both WEC and UFC events I have attended Stitch and the black cut guy work the crowds and take pictures and stuff. At UFC 146, Ref Josh Rosenthal was even walking around the crowd, taking pics with fans and chatting it up in between his fights. Was pretty cool to see. MMA unlike any other major sport in that regard. Fan interaction is better than any other and I'd say 99% of the fighters are cool as hell when you talk with them.Comment -

I lose respect for Rory for picking a fight against a guy with a name he thinks he could easily beat. A fight that presents no challenge or threat to him, like he continuously mentions. Before the fight was set to happen, he was saying how he wants the fight because of how he respects BJ and what not... it was obvious bs from the get go, fool just wants a big profile fight and an easy win.
