    Paulie vs. Amir: 5-15-10
this should be interesting. Paulie is a guy i love to watch fight. Amir had a lot of hype until he had his skull caved in.

overall this should be good. im gonna take pualy by KO.....

i could be way off base, but i think khan wins this easily. we all know khan's weakness, but paulie doesn't have the power to KO him. khan outboxes paulie by a wide margin.

I haven't looked closely at the fight yet, but I basically agree with this assessment. Breidis Prescott showed that Khan's chin is his biggest weakness, but Malignaggi has so little power that he's unlikely to take advantage of it.

Actually like Paulie here. But I wouldn't be surprised if Khan took it. A lot is being made of Malignaggi's absent punching power vs. Khan's chin, but the thing is you can beef up your power: you can't do nothing about being a soft little bitch. Paulie is being way underrated IMO and if I was forced to pick a winner I'd go with his speed and chin and solid boxing ability, but I don't think I like it enough to bet it. Don't forget that Paulie won at minimum 4 rounds (and likely more) against a prime as f_ck Miguel Cotto when Paulie was still a baby. Should also be noted that Malignaggi has been improving his power, going so far as to buzz Diaz in the rematch.

I am going in huge on Paulie +400

Khan? Who has he beat? Coming into Madison Square Garden? Come on the kid is from NY! The judges will be leaning for him (Paulie) as the place will be rocking for him. This is not Paulie's 1st rodeo, hia KO ability is the question, not his skills. Paulie is no walk in the park for an American debut, and this dumbass is being a tourist of NY. Khan is already caught up in the NY scene. I am more along the lines of thinking Paulie can pull this out in a decision my own personal bank account, and the coin that I have for this year I have the ability to take risk. A smart capper knows this is a risk well worth taking not only for the distance of the fight but for the ML + 380.....little risk huge reward! Paulie does not need this fight Khan does all the pressure is on him! GL

Malignaggi couldn't finish a fight under any circumstance. He occasionally rocks someone and starts dancing around the ring. Truly a poor man's Prince Naseem if I ever saw one, and it's actually disrespectful to Naseem to compare the two.

Either people just discovered Paulie, or they're putting too much stock in his recent fights against Diaz (overrated prospect). Paulie's greatest strength is his heart and foot speed, and the latter becomes obsolete throughout his fights because his heart keeps him throwing in spots he needs to back away from. The suits at Golden Boy know this. Paulie's home, he tends to bullshit even more in New York, and he'll definitely squander a few rounds away because of it. Khan's the more complete fighter, this is just a stepping stone fight. Wake me up when Khan faces someone with knockout power before we talk about him losing.

Khan looks like the winner here. I am not impressed by Paulie beating little Diaz and he is far too cocky and likes to drop his guard and show off too much.

Great showcase tonight of how Golden Boy is the best cherry picking promotion out there. Oscar and Schaeffer know what they're doing. Nate Campbell has looked like shit at 140, but they've been pursuing him for a year now because they perceived him as a walkover to their guys like Mayweather and Ortiz. They were right. Malignaggi's stock is as high as it's ever been and they use him as a pawn to perfection. No idea why people still fall for the smokescreens in this sport.

I didn't realize it until now, but Breidis Prescott was actually on the undercard. He KOd a stiff. I think Khan's promoters probably put Prescott on the card against a soft opponent to make Khan look better.
