Has the feel of a Bellator or Invicta event more then a UFC event. Old rejects and suspect chicks fighting in the Main. Agreed. Might be entertaining though.

Prelims look ok to me though. Main card is a joke with 2 suspect chicks fighting in the main draw and headlined.. Ladd vs Dumont come on man!!

The UFC basically giving us 3 shitfests in a row, at least the next 3 look to be pretty good. Other than laying a bunch of chalk on Marquez I don't see much worth betting on.

Paul Felder has been hyping Christian Rodriguez. The way he's hyped Sean Brady.

Without knowing anything about him, I bet on him for Dana White's contender.

    Win.

    I won on Rodriguez too.

Day-old news, but Eubanks pulled out of her fight, replaced by last week's sub winner, Loopy Godinez. She will beat Chimaev's record for quickest UFC turnaround if she fights.

Almost every expert seems to be on Arlovski, and Felipe should've lost the last two decisions he won, but I still think he has a good shot to win this one on volume. Too close to bet tho. Agree with Matt & Dave on Dumont.

I'm seeing a lot of people on Arlovski as well. I believe Felipe did enough to beat Jake Collier, almost all of the media gave it to Felipe as well. However, Felipe should've lost the decision to Tafa.

I think it's worth noting that Felipe absorbs 5.62 significant strikes per minute.

Arlovski always seems to hang in there, weather a storm, and win by decision, Aspinall aside. Tough cookie, even after so many years.

I have no idea how they have Arlovski - Felipe as a co- main event. Neither of these guys have KO power so it will probably be a boring ass fight that will go to a decision The over 2.5 rds -200 might be worth the juice, but both of these guys have had close questionable decisions & there is no way in hell I would risk anything on either of these guys to win.

    Prelim write ups...

145 lbs.: Nate Landwehr vs. Ludovit Klein

Nate Landweher (14-4) — who entered UFC as the M-1 Featherweight champion — rebounded from an unsuccessful UFC debut by beating Darren Elkins in an absolutely wild slugfest. “The Train” returned to action nine months later, succumbing to a flying knee from Julian Erosa at UFC Vegas 19 earlier this year (watch it).
He is the taller man by two inches, though he gives up a bit of reach.
Though he missed weight beforehand, Ludovit Klein (17-3) lived up to his “Mr. Highlight” nickname in his UFC debut, scoring his third consecutive head kick knockout at Shane Young’s expense. He wasn’t quite as successful his next time out against Michael Trizano, who rode a late surge to a narrow decision victory.
He has knocked out and submitted eight professional foes apiece.
This fight goes one of two ways: either Klein puts the ever-hittable Landwehr down for the count in the first five minutes or Landwehr powers through the beating, wears him down and takes over down the stretch. Even if Klein did underperform against Trizano, the former seems a lot more likely to me. Klein’s strikes — particularly his head kick — aren’t the sorts of blows one can overcome with sheer willpower, and he’s shown the ability to fight off the back foot.
I just don’t trust Landwehr’s chin to hold up after those destructive losses to Herbert Burns and Julian Erosa, especially not against a kickboxer this skilled. In the end, Klein plants a shin against his dome before too long.
Prediction: Klein via first round knockout

135 lbs.: Danaa Batgerel vs. Brandon Davis

Mongolia’s Danaa Batgerel (9-2) may not have come out on top in his UFC debut against Alatengheili, but he did walk away with a “Fight of the Night” bonus after three wild rounds.
He has been more successful and efficient since, brutally stopping Guido Cannetti and finishing Kevin Natividad both in the first round.
Though he impressed on “Contender Series,” Brandon Davis (14-8) went just 2-5 in the Octagon before his promotional release. He has since won four straight, most recently stopping Josh Huber for the Gulf Coast MMA Bantamweight title in Aug. 2021.
He stands three inches taller than Danaa and boasts a two-inch reach advantage.
Even acknowledging that he fought some pretty tough customers during his first UFC tenure, from Zabit Magomedsharipov to Giga Chikadze, Davis really didn’t show much besides top-notch durability and solid volume. Beating four low-level guys on the regional circuit isn’t enough to convince me that he’s corrected those flaws, at least not to the extent that he can beat a well-rounded bruiser like Danaa.
Danaa only loses this fight if he goes crazy looking for the knockout. Indeed, if he stays patient, picks his spots and mixes in his underutilized wrestling game, he’s got all the tools to win this easily. He’s not finishing Davis anytime soon, but he doesn’t have to. When the dust settles, expect Danaa to show all facets of his offense to cruise past a game but out-classed Davis.
    Prediction: Danaa via unanimous decision

115 lbs.: Istela Nunes vs. Ariane Carnelossi

Istela Nunes (7-1) punched her ticket to a ONE title fight by beating Mei Yamaguchi in her promotional debut, only to succumb to champion Angela Lee’s grappling in the second round. Undaunted, she got back in the win column 13 months later by beating promotional mainstay Gina Iniong.
She fights for the first time in more than three years, having withdrawn from scheduled UFC debuts against Angela Hill and Jinh Yu Frey.
Ariane Carnelossi (13-2) brought a 12-fight win streak into her UFC debut, which saw her war it out with Angela Hill before bowing out due to a cut. Then came a 19-month layoff, which “Sorriso” ended in April 2021 by pounding out La Niang in a chaotic tussle.
Her 10 stoppage wins include nine via (technical) knockout.
The Nunes of 2018 loses this match up fairly consistently. Though taller and the more technical kickboxer overall, she’s far less effective off of her back foot, which bodes ill against someone as aggressive and powerful as Carnelossi. Carnlossi marching forward and overpowering her seems a fair bit more likely than Nunes keeping her at a distance.
This fight, then, will come down to Nunes’ improvements during her time away. She’s still just 29 and looked like she learned from her first professional defeat, so it’s not out of the question, but Carnelossi isn’t going to give her room to get comfortable. In short, Carnelossi outworks her to a comfortable decision.
    Prediction: Carnelossi via unanimous decision

185 lbs.: Andrew Sanchez vs. Bruno Silva

Andrew Sanchez (12-6) went from suffering two consecutive knockout losses to winning three of his next four, including a bonus-winning knockout of Wellington Turman. The momentum wasn’t to last, as he fell short against Makhmud Muradov five months later.
“El Dirte” stands one inch taller than Bruno Silva (20-6) at 6’1.”
“Blindado” entered UFC on the heels of consecutive upsets over Alexander Shlemenko and Artem Frolov, only for a failed drug test to delay his debut by two years. He made up for lost time in said debut last June, battering Wellington Turman into submission for his fifth consecutive knockout.
    He’s scored 17 knockouts as a professional.
This is something of a repeat of Silva’s fight with Turman. Like Turman, Sanchez is a well-rounded ground specialist with the toolset to exploit Silva’s limited takedown defense and sloppy striking offense. Also like Turman, Sanchez lacks the durability to actually pull off the win; Silva needs only the slightest opening to drop the hammer, and Sanchez has a storied history of falling apart as fights progress.
If Sanchez wins this, he does so by establishing his wrestling early and often without getting clipped on the feet or swept into position for Silva’s horrifying ground-and-pound to take over. I don’t see him pulling it off for 15 minutes; on the contrary, Silva pounds him out somewhere around the midpoint.
Prediction: Silva via second round technical knockout

Holm Injured, Out Of Next Week’s Main Event

170 lbs.: Danny Roberts vs. Ramazan Emeev

Danny Roberts (17-5) saw a 2-0 Octagon start give way to a 3-4 slump, though he did take home two Fight of the Night bonuses for his wins over Dominique Steele and David Zawada. “Hot Chocolate” was last seen breaking a two-fight skid with an upset knockout of Zelim Imadaev in Moscow.
This marks his first appearance in 23 months.
While he hasn’t been terribly active during his UFC tenure, fighting just six times in the past four years, Ramazan Emeev (20-4) made up for quantity with quality. He presently sits at 5-1 in the world’s largest fight promotion, including a split decision over David Zawada in Jan. 2021.
“Gorets” stands three inches shorter than Roberts and gives up nearly a half-foot of reach.
Cliche though it may be, Roberts has always seemed like less than the sum of his parts. His quality striking is offset by shaky durability, while his ground game is held back by limited takedown defense. He could have conceivably gone some way toward those things over the past two years, sure, but his inability to do so during his first four years in the Octagon make it unlikely.
Emeev’s a bit simpler: either he can consistently take you down, in which case he wins, or he can’t, in which case he doesn’t. Roberts looks like someone who can grind out, so while “Hot Chocolate” has a considerable edge on the feet, it won’t matter much when he can’t stay there. In the end, Emeev’s usual top control carries him to another clear, but not particularly engaging, win.
    Prediction: Emeev via unanimous decision

125 lbs.: Sijara Eubanks vs. Luana Carolina

Eubanks — The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 26 finalist — went 2-4 as a UFC Bantamweight, ultimately returning to Flyweight after a loss to Pannie Kianzad. She not only conquered the scale, but scored her first Octagon stoppage by pounding out Elise Reed late in the first round.
She steps in for Maryna Moroz on around three weeks’ notice.
Luana Carolina (7-2) followed her “Contender Series” victory over Mabelly Lima with a decision over Priscila Cachoeira in her UFC debut, only for Ariane Lipski to halt her momentum in its tracks with a grotesque kneebar (see it).
After nearly one year on the sidelines, she returned to action in May 2021, surviving a rough early round to upset Poliana Botelho by split decision.
As with the Reed fight, Eubanks’ greatest foe here is the scale. Carolina’s ground game is sorely lacking, which allowed Lipski to damn-near tear her leg off and the striking-focused Botelho to dominate from top position. Eubanks is miles ahead of her on the mat, and if she shows that same level of killer instinct again, it won’t take her long to put the Brazilian away.
That’s assuming, of course, that Eubanks can best the weight cut on short notice. I believe she can, but even if she doesn’t, an impaired “Sarj” is still more than enough to dominate on the ground.
Prediction: Eubanks via first round technical knockout

I don't mind losing fights and money when they are fair but I thought Emeev the Russian got robbed in the prelims. One judge had it 30-27. I just shake my head with that decision.

Lupita Godinez decision loss was sketchy also with the judges IMO.

This main event fight might be the most boring 5 round fight in UFC history. Patty cake and run for both fighters.. Painful to watch. Back to the DODGERS/BRAVES game for me.

One round down and I've seen enough.

No worries, we can still find a way to win.
I reads ya Sanity.. Usually I'm lucky and end up on winning side of judging robberies. This event it wasn't the case. I can't complain that much but still.

Call the fight and judge it right. Sometimes I think these UFC judges are paid off when I see 30-27 judging in close fights that are almost robberies.
