CBS is done with them. Cutting champions is not the best option for Strikeforce either.

Regarding the post-fight fight:

Strikeforece does nothing excpet ban the random guy who was throwing punches from cageside
CBS does nothing.
Tenn athletic commission lays down 3-6 month suspensions on Nate and Nick Diaz.

Strikeforce execs shed a tear because new pricey signee Hendersen losses to now free agent Sheilds.

Then, Strikeforce is forced to pay Jake Shields way more money than he is worth considering he does not have a very large fan following because they dont want their champ going to UFC.

I doubt anything will happen, Strikeforce doesn't have the roster depth like UFC to just cut guys at will. Maybe Mayhem will get a fight of the night bonus for starting the most interesting brawl of the night though.

Poor strikeforce indeed. So many problems that happened on saturday... they will definately not be around a year from now. Spent big money on henderson and aoki who both lost. Also spent big money re-signing mousasi for 2 year ext. and then he loses to a guy with 6 professional fights. Then the brawl that took place left bad impressions for any company thinking of associating with strikeforce. The ratings and the card in general were also a big bust. Nothing went right for them

It was one bad event no big deal, it happens in the UFC all the time. Strikeforce has had nothing but stacked cards for the longest time now. That's the first time one of them has sucked.

But Mousasi should rebound and Mo was also one of their bigger prospects. I think the deal with DREAM keeps the exchange of fighters reasonable. I think they have enough to keep themselves viable. The UFC would have to put on atleast one show a week if they wanted to corner all of the quality fighters currently available. And the talent pool is only going to increase.

i feel like tht announcing team gets progressively worse. saturday was real bad. if anything, it is listening to gus, shamrock and renalo that will bring strikeforce down and not a lack of quality fighters imo.

Yes the announcers are terrible and why is Shamrock allowed to say he doesn't like certain fighters. He can talk about performance, but I don't think an announcer should be voicing there opinion on something like that unless something has happened to them personally.
