    MMA: ufc 112
    ytd: 25W-14L +$520.66

these event is outdoors in abu dhabi(hope i spelled that right)

BJ Penn(-675) opinion vs. frankie edgar
well i'm stoked on this event as i have a $300 to win $388 parlay that just needs penn to win, so i hedged with a sweet +575 with edgar so i'm good!! now to the fight. edgar has crisp boxing that usually takes 4 minutes or so to get going. his wrestling is good and his cardio never a question. penn has good boxing, i don't like is boxing because to me its just a jab and staight. he stays in the middle and keeps hands low BUT penn is fearless and tough and no one can really hurt him so he stays there. who is going to try and take him down or get him down? so penn's boxing works and it will again here as he is just to big and strong and edgar is to small. there is no threat of being taken down so penn will just push and push. edgar will be slick and counter but i feel its not enough saturday. PENN TKO 2nd R

Anderson Silva vs. damian maia(+579) opinion
maia is not leites. he will not have answers to anderson's striking but he will not just fold either. maia i believe will somehow close the distance and hopefully pull guard. on the ground we all know maia is awesome but silva is decent aswell, however i'm hoping we get silva on top and not off his back. we have seen silva defend on back well and we see him when on top always gets up to strike again. maia just needs to be active open up take a chance and wrap him up. hard to take maia but these odds why not. he has a hair of a chance right?

Matt Hughes(-360) vs. renzo gracie opinion

Renzo is the better gracie striker but really has no KO power. he relies on movement and accuracy and of course BJJ. renzo is dropping down in weight at 43 and from a 3 year layoff and looks to be prepared for what should be a fight mainly off his back. his guard is active, creative and dangerous and he will need to really use it as hughes is a take down machine and top control legend. i see hughes' submission and submission defence good enough against renzo however have to wonder if he will be his cocky self and try to fight this standing. i get the impression he feels he holds a big advantage there and may be clined to test it. i hope not, i think he should just do his ting and end the fight, however if he stands maybe he gets distracted or even hurt. renzo at this price is worth the value but i think he loses. i think hughes is getting off on being the ufc gracie headhunter.

Mark Munoz(-150) $30 vs. kendall grove
kendall grove is always a threat with his size but only off his back, and this is where he will be often sat. munoz should be able to power his way to a KO or take down wih ease. grove is no threat striking in my opinion and munoz is improving with the nog camp and should have a great awareness of what he needs to do when on top. i see him just killing grove with pure physical brute.

Rafael Dos Anjos (+135) $20 vs. terry etim
dos anjos is a better grappler and take down artist than most think. i can take etim down and if it gets there dos has the wrestling to make this a win. etim has savvy submissions but dos will not fall for those, should etim get on top dos will be fine there aswell. so i see etim only winning in the stand up and he has great exciting stand up. i see dos hanging around just enough to land the take down, then i see a grappling game that i think etim just cannot defend as dos jas great bjj aswell.

Ricky Story (-145) $20 vs. nick osipczak
wow, this fight should be good. both are skilled and both are tough but i think story has the ability to take this down and control more points that what i think nick will score in the stand up. this is a close fight but i like story's power and wrestling to grind a win.

Paul Taylor (-240) $10 vs. john gunderson
taylor drooping down weight should solve his takedown defence problem right? not sure but i think gunderson's top control is not strong enough to handle taylors active guard. striking wise its not close and i think taylor just picks him apart. gunderson despite 30 mma fights has lost to all decent competition, i see taylor as a one trick pony but his defence on the ground is good enough to stretch this fight out to eventually take a TKO win.

Matt Veach (-210) $50 vs. Paul Kelly
veach has better camp to prepare him for a fight that is against a top control/brawler. veach is basically the same fighter but has better striking, more exploviness and power. i see veach using is physical assests to take this fight to a solid win.

John Madsen vs. al-turk (+240) opinion
turk has fought and lost too good strikers where he could not get his ground game going. madsen is really no threat of pure striking, i see turk getting to grapple in this fight giving him a chance to win. madsen will to get top control and try and win there. i see turk using his experience in this one and at these odds he has value.

Brad Blackburn vs. demarques johnson(+140) opinion
blackburn can strike, he is a veteran fighter of 15 fights and has many offensive weapons. looking slow last fight out against saddollah he should be able to unleash against johnson who has no striking. i think this may be an opening for johnson to get it down and end it. johnson has a fighters heart and that may kill him or bring him to victory but i think at dog odds and his ground attack he has a chance.

Phil Davis vs Gustafsson (+425) $10
davis on paper should destroy gust. he has great wrestling, explosive, unstopable takedowns and seriious ground and pound. on the ground gust has no answers or weapons. however gust can strike and davis is still green so i will take a stab that gust striking speed, mainly a head kick on davis shooting in drops him. taking a chance here

    no parlay this time around
