Fight Night - Florian vs Gomi & UFC 112 Picks...:
After great success...getting 10 out of 11 picks correct on Vera vs Jones Fight Night and 111 I reckon there is more easy money to be won through parlays on Wednesday's Fight Night and 112 in a couple of weeks! I've just put £25 on Nelson, BJ Penn and Anderson Silva to win £18... no way I see any of them losing...will probably put another 100 on just before Fight Night after the weigh-ins. Also have Nelson in another parlay (5 to win 35) with Florian, Quarry, Tibau, Pellegrino and Miller (who both have already won of course). I think Florian should get a decision against Gomi, Tibau is going to be much more stronger and powerful then Uno...hopefully the weigh-in situation wont be too much of a factor....also Uno has only won 1 out of 7 fights against Brazilian's in the past. Quarry I feel is just a better version of Rivera...better chin and more xplosive so should get the late TKO or Decision. Will also consider a small play on Gerald Harris and Brenneman once the lines are up. What you going for guys?

I have no doubt Tibau will win but the weigh-in rule is really keeping me from betting, knowing he's a huge weight cutter I think it's just too big of a variable IMO. I'm sold on Florian and Nelson though I missed out the soft openers I might still consider a mid-size wager. Can't comment on Nate Rivera. Overall solid , though Miller straight up robbed Bocek, that was some kinda home town discount he got at the judges table last night.

Miller would argue that he did more damage (cut Bocek open), was never really in any serious trouble - Bocek didnt ever actually have MIller locked in a choke...all he had was his hand trapped. Miller caught him more when they wer stood up and of course had him in the kimura in the first round tht was tight. I was expecting a split decision win but defo thought Miller deserved it...bus as u said the home advantage did probly help sway the judges aswell! Anyway he deserved the win jus for his passion wen he got up at end of second round and went crazy...was awesome!

Gomi hasn't had an impressive fight in 3 years.

I would say it's because GOmi has only been fighting out of Japan where the common assumption is that the quality of fighters there is not as top tier as it is in the UFC.

Gomi has also dropped two in his last 5 fights.

And Kenny FLorian (with the exception of this fight with Penn) has been on a tear lately...

not sold on quarry standing against rivera. he keeps getting slower. i like rivera's speed advantage. i think quarry wins by being smart and putting this down like he did against macdonald. i have rivera, i think its 50-50 standing so i will take the points.

i agree with florian. he tends to shy away from power punchers so i see a smart plan coming and a decision win myself. great insight as usual. thx for the post
