this is a pretty uninteresting weekend for boxing, but i threw a few bets around anyway. here they are:
Devon Alexander (-450) v. Juan Urango (+300)
+300 for Urango isn't enough to lure me off of Alexander. he's a little untested at 140, but he did beat Witter, and even at this stage i think he's a little underrated. i would be surprised in Urango wins more than a couple rounds. there's always that chance Urango catches him, but i see Alexander winning in 10-2 or 9-3 fashion.
Wilfredo Vazquez jr (-165) v. Marvin Sonsona (+135)
wasn't sure which way to go here. i think sonsona will pull out a decision tonight, and i was surprised to see him as the underdog here. best shot at a decent payout, but i wouldn't parlay it.
Rodel Mayol (-125) v. Omar Romero (-105)
this fight is very up in the air. Mayol has a tendency to butt, so this one could go to the cards very early. expect a Romero decision here, and expect it to be controversial.
