It's all good bro, I can see how it can be misinterpreted. It was vague so I apologize for being a bit brash.

A light-heavyweight match-up between former UFC lightweight champion Forrest Griffin (17-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and recent Brazilian import Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (18-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC), otherwise known as "Lil Nog," is in the works for the recently rescheduled UFC 113 event in Montreal.

wow they took out Rampage vs Evans and replaced it with this, 113 is a great card

          Machida/Rua
          Nogueira/Griffin
          Daley/Koscheck
          Cote/Belcher
          Kimbo/Mitrione

They should push rampage vs evans to ufc 115 in vancouver. Planning on going to see the ufc then but the only rumored fight right now that I know of is Chuck vs Tito, which I don't care about that much. With all the stacked UFC's coming up I wonder what fighters going to take main event spots in the future.

forest would have to rack up a bunch of takedowns which he could do

lil nog has him on boxing and jui jitsu

forrest could get some kickin points too

not a done deal that lil nog takes it but he is definitely the more skilled fighter

                lol at this forrest quote

"That is a horrible fight for me. I have trained with his brother a little bit, so he already has the 'inside scoop' on me, he's a southpaw, has got a good chin, and has good power. Plus he is pretty solid on the ground. The only place I would have an advantage would be wrestling... and my wrestling is not that good. So yeah, that’s a tough match up for me. I'd do it, if that’s what they wanted, but being straight up, there are other guys I'd rather fight."

Yeah but that isn't really a surprise with forrest. He's always self-deprecating.

Forrest cant be talking like that. He needs to be over-hyping himself so we get some decent lines.

I hope this doesn't adversely affect the lines, Most everyone who caps MMA knows this is a terrible match up for Forrest; But Forrest saying it himself should affect the casual bettors perception on who to bet thus ****ing up my projected lines.
Anderson Silva stole Forests heart; and this quote is evidence of that.

I'm in completely agree with your assessment on the matter. Griffin shall force a total stand up ( where he's dangerous ) as oppose to Jujitsu ground ( Nog's domain ). Antonio isn't known for his stand up whatsoever. Forrest has a great shoot defense. This shall prove to be somewhat frustrating considering Antonio's entire fight game rely s solely on ground submission.

He's not known for his stand-up and is a jiu-jitsu wizard. But a lot changes when you spend five or so odd years training with the Brazilian Olympic Boxing team. This is the improvement I expect from guys like Josh Koscheck and Gray Maynard. Spend a few years strictly focusing on boxing and actually learn how to box. It's possible, look at Minotoro.
