Does he even have any MMA experience? If not he will get pounded. Just because your strong, doesn't make you a fighter.

Since hearing about this it reminded me of an article I read in Sports Illustrated about him in the early 80's. I've always remembered the title of the article which was his quote: "My body's like an Army."
Found it online in the SI Vault. I remember being impressed and inspired by his discipline and work ethic. He was not only a great running back but a world class sprinter. It's really worth reading: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vau...82/1/index.htm
I know that getting hit in the face is a whole other can of worms, and I don't expect much from him in the sport, but he has always taken care of his body and even at 47 I'm sure he's still a physical specimen.

He's been training in martial arts...not to mention he's in the Bo Jackson mold of being a super-athlete. I feel like this is one last grab for attention, but the guy is still a monster.

He's trained in martial arts since high school or college I read somewhere.
He also has admitted in his autobiography that he has developed multiple personality disorder.
I agree this is his last grab at publicity and a pay day. If he doesnt do well it wont be from lack of hard work I can guarentee that.

these guys don't understand there is a big difference between your athletic ability and your ability to take a punch in the face, just ask too tall jones, for you young guys , he was a dallas cowboys lineman, six nine ,back in the seventies. He decided to try boxing and got knocked out by a guy about six one and 200 , the fight game is a tough game
