i am feeling rough. After a night of debauchery I had to be up at 8 this morning answers calls. Running on fumes right now.

Im hopping ship on this one. As of yesterday evening Ive watched/read every prefight video/interview I can find with Story and he sounds just like fedor before the werdum fight saying things like "im not worried about his ground game." Story is also coming into the fight without a gameplan tailored too his opponent, nothing new tho. I could go into a lot more detail but im just to tired.

I decided not to bet dustin last night, im going to take my chances and wait until after the weighins.

Brooks, for the first time UFC beginner learner like me, what would be the safe bet for tonight?

if you are looking for some action and to learn some more about it, bet jon fitch over thiago alves. It is a close fight but fitch has the trump card, wrestling, and that is a good advantage in mma.

Is it possible to have draws in UFC? And if yes, what happens to all the bets that have one side as a win?

[brooks85]

yes draws can happen and so can DQs.

If the fight is a draw, the book should give your money back and any parlay reduced.

If it is a DQ for a fighter, the other guy is marked a winner. Draws rarely happen and when they do it is because of something like a point reduction(mma uses the boxing 10 point must system, so an eye poke could cause you to lose a point for the round). But, they can be scored a draw and probably should more often but it rarely happens.

The worse thing about mma is the judging, it can be atrocious at times.

yep, that is the dangerous part but also can be a key advantage.

a lot of the fights go to the ground eventually and the guy on top is going to win in the judges eye just about every time and thats no exaggeration. So if you know a guy is a better wrestler lets say, then you know his style favors scoring in mma.

Dude I had no hope for silva, I thought Sonnen was going to win by decision but WOW Silva came back.
on your win, u got pretty good odds on the submission, I could only get +330

i feel ya man, the only thing that had me not flipping out was that I took sonnen +390 for back up but i was honestly sick to my stomach, i probably watched 4 mins of the first 4 rounds,basically until it hit the ground and then I watched all of the last round.

The silva by sub was definitely an unreal number, I was surprised when I saw it. Ecco got it was +900 something and it started dropping fast.
