Max took a real beating in this fight even in the victory.

That could be a retirement fight. Lot's of head and face trauma. When you are paid like Max is and have a kid you may want to hang it up now. Choose a new profession, look after your investments. Just saying. His face is a swollen mess.

Sounded like he didn't even want to train and spar with getting hit in the head leading up to this fight.

i am still having a hard time wondering basically like Mcgregor said, on why Max got buried on an early day apex card. This makes no sense at all. How does a guy like Max who fought on ESPN against Kattar, with huge viewership, get stuck in a situation like this? Ufc doesn't make many mistakes but this was a major blunder. After that Kattar fight (sp)? you could have built off of that with making Max a superstar. I guess it is what it is. Love to know how Max felt about being in that spot.

Hard to believe he’s only 29, apparently he has the UFC record with over 3000 significant strikes landed but he’s taken a ton of big shots. If he fights another 5 years his brain might be mush

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think Max will hang it up just yet. Max has never been big on hard sparring and taking a lot of shots in camp. I believe it comes down to personal preference.

i would love to hear your retarded reasons. You have a former champion who brought in a whole new crowd in his last fight on ESPN and you bury him mid day at the apex. Is there a new type of fan base that watches these mid day cards in the fan less Apex? The floor is yours. I will tell you who watched that fight. guys that watch all the events. Not one friend of mine called and ask me where i was watching that fight. two of them called this morning and you guessed it they said "man i didn't know that Max fight was on a day card"

Fight like that has all of two threads talking about it. Most like i said, guys who can't get enough of the sport. Sanity has a great reason why a superstar like Max was fighting on an apex card in the mid of the day. Even Conor took a shot at him and his ball breaking was spot on.
