Paulo Costa on fighter pay

Remember when everyone told Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez they were worth millions more than the UFC was paying them.

They both went to One FC with dollar signs in their eyes, expecting to rake in big bucks.

Did One FC pay either of them the big dollars people told them they deserved?

A few years later, we have Paulo Costa having the same lies fed to him. The same lies that Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez were being fed only a few years earlier.

The same lies Tito Ortiz was fed almost a decade ago, when he had his big feud with Dana White.

Will people learn from history?

Doesn't change the fact that all these guys are absolutely right.

Maybe some fighters deserve more. Some much more. Paulo Costa deserves less.

Boxing has been around for more than 100 years.

In that 100 years, no one cared enough about fighters to push for unionization in boxing. Or to complain about boxers being underpaid.

The UFC has been around a fraction of the time. Already we have them being attacked by disney/ESPN and unions.

There are motives, politics & reasons behind these trends.


If people want to call themselves gangsters. And have any prayer of running the game. They need to be able to explain why these things happen.


Blindly reciting content published by ESPN and blindly hopping on unionization bandwagons are what headless chickens who don't know anything do.
