Anyone else not sold on Tanner Boser? -Arlovski has stolen tougher fights and he's +220 here....There is also the payback Factor of Lins being a training partner of AA.....not saying there is bad blood-but he KO's Lins in round 1 and now I think AA wants a piece of him...

I'm not betting it, but you are correct I'm not sold on Boser either - good value on Arlovski

Other than wondering if Santos is fully healed and back to his normal self, I have a hard time seeing Glover win this one. Would have most likely lost to Smith if Smith didn't go for broke and gas himself.

Anyone here betting Glover? Or maybe a Santos bet with a Glover by sub hedge or something?

Judges hate Arlovski for some reason.

2 of AA's recent losses could have been wins.

135 lbs.: Sarah Moras vs. Vanessa Melo

Sarah Moras (6-6) battled her way to a semifinal finish on TUF 23, then emerged victorious in two of her first three Octagon appearances. “Cheesecake” is just 1-4 since, most recently falling to fellow TUF veteran Sijara Eubanks in May.
Three of her five professional finishes have come by form of knockout.
Vanessa Melo (10-8) put a 5-5 professional start behind her to win five straight, ultimately joining UFC after a decision over veteran Jan Finney. She’s yet to taste victory in the Octagon, going 0-3 against Irene Aldana, Tracy Cortez, and Karol Rosa.
She gives up two inches of height and reach to Moras.
Even in a weight class as talent-starved as Women’s Bantamweight, this looks like a loser-goes-home matchup. Moras’ inability to support her submission prowess with competent wrestling and Melo’s lack of power or striking output have left them near the division’s bottom rung.
Moras will never have a number next to her name, but she should be too much for Melo. She’s got the stronger ground game of the two and even if Melo is potentially the better striker, she’s so lackadaisical in her approach that Moras can win on the feet through sheer activity. “Cheesecake” outworks “Miss Simpatia” to a comfortable decision.
                          Prediction: Moras via unanimous decision

265 lbs.: Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Alexander Romanov

I wrote this fight up the first time these two were booked to fight and my opinion hasn’t changed, so I’ll be reusing that prediction with some slight adjustments.
After missing the Light Heavyweight limit twice in a row, Marcos Rogerio de Lima (17-6-1) returned to Heavyweight for the first time since his UFC debut and made up for lost time with a decision over Adam Wieczorek. Though he failed to capitalize on a strong first round against Stefan Struve and ultimately tapped, he got back in track last February with a faceplant knockout of Ben Sosoli in Auckland.
“Pezao” owns 12 professional wins by form of knockout and another three via submission.
Moldova’s Alexander Romanov (11-0) started his professional career with nine consecutive first-round finishes before requiring three rounds to put away Sultan Murtazaliev in 2018. After scoring a slam knockout the next year, he joined UFC, ultimately debuting with a submission of Roque Martinez after fights with Raphael Pessoa, Marcin Tybura, and the aforementioned de Lima fell through.
“King Kong” has finished six opponents in less than two minutes apiece.
I haven’t gotten to use the phrase “two-true-outcome fight” in a while, so forgive me for busting it out here. de Lima, despite being an undisciplined Light Heavyweight cosplaying a Heavyweight, packs truly horrific power the likes of which Romanov has ever seen. On the other hand, “Pezao” is embarrassingly helpless off of his back and has appalling fight IQ. Recall how he dropped Struve, dominated the rest of the round, and then initiated the grappling in the second instead of just smashing the division’s easiest target. If Romanov gets on top, he’ll have little to no difficulty getting the finish.
There’s your outcomes: either de Lima clips the former rikishi in the opening minutes or gets rag-dolled and demolished on the mat. Considering Romanov’s size advantage, I favor the latter. “King Kong” forces him to the fence, slams him down, and either pounds or chokes him out soon after.
                          Prediction: Romanov via first-round submission

145 lbs.: Giga Chikadze vs. Jamey Simmons

Giga Chikadze (11-2) has proven one of the busiest UFC fighters this year, racking up a 3-0 record after his 2019 debut. Though his March victory over Jamall Emmers came down to the wire, he was dominant in decisions over Irwin Rivera and Omar Morales, the latter of whom he defeated less than a month ago.
He is seven inches taller than “The Afro Samurai.”
Jamey Simmons (7-2) went 6-0 with five finishes as an amateur before making his professional debut in 2017. A five-fight 2019 campaign saw him go 4-1, three of those wins coming by knockout in under four combined minutes, and he scored a submission win just two weeks ago.
Four of his five professional finishes have come by form of knockout.
According to Chikadze, he attempted to step in for the injured Jeremy Stephens against Arnold Allen, resulting in this matchup when “Almighty” declined. That explains why they’re pitting the Georgian, who’s really found his groove in the Octagon, against an unproven debutant. Simmons has some wrestling skills, but raw standup and potential cardio issues make this an ostensible blowout in Chikadze’s favor.
Simmons might have had a shot against the Contender Series incarnation of Chikadze, who had yet to develop any sort of counter-wrestling. Unfortunately for him, the current Chikadze is good enough to keep it standing and has a plethora of tools with which to punish Simmons’ overextension. Chikadze scores his first Octagon finish before long.
Prediction: Chikadze via first-round technical knockout

185 lbs.: Trevin Giles vs. Bevon Lewis

Trevin Giles (12-2) handily dispatched James Bochnovic and Antonio Braga Neto in his first two Octagon appearances to establish himself as a top prospect, only to leave the cage for 17 months to pursue police officer training. He hasn’t been quite as successful since, tapping to Zak Cummings and Gerald Meerschaert before narrowly scraping past James Krause this past February.
He has knocked out and submitted five professional foes apiece.
It took two tries, but Bevon Lewis (7-2) finally secured a UFC contract on “Contender Series,” knocking out Alton Cunningham in 2018. Upset losses to Uriah Hall and Darren Stewart followed, though he returned to the win column last January with a decision over Dequan Townsend in Raleigh.
He stands three inches taller than Giles and will have a five-inch reach advantage.
It’s always interesting when two underachievers lock horns. Giles has looked utterly flat since returning from his hiatus, while Lewis has struggled to get his striking and wrestling to work against UFC-caliber opposition. I have to say, though, barely beating a natural Welterweight is more damning to me than getting caught by Hall or having issues with Stewart.
Between Lewis’ considerable physical advantages and Giles’ tendency to play into his opponents’ strengths, I have to favor Lewis. Giles could very possibly regain the form that let him crush Bochnovic and Neto, but expect Lewis to cruise at range and in the clinch for a comfortable win.
                          Prediction: Lewis via unanimous decision

170 lbs.: Max Griffin vs. Ramiz Brahimaj

Max Griffin (15-8) has struggled to find his footing in the Octagon, going 3-6 overall and 1-4 in his last five. He’s lost two straight since winning a grudge match against Zelim Imadaev, dropping competitive decisions to Alex Morono and Alex Oliveira.
“Pain” will enjoy a three-inch reach advantage over Ramiz Brahimaj (8-2).
Brahimaj — fighting out of Fortis MMA — cut his teeth in XKO and LFA, amassing eight submissions in eight pro victories. His most recent effort saw him choke out Carlos Martinez in a mere 55 seconds.
This will be his first fight since March 2019, as his cornerman tested positive for COVID before a planned June debut opposite Takashi Sato.
While there’s plenty of footage of Brahimaj’s lethal ground game, it’s hard to get a bead on his wrestling skills from the available data. That’s unfortunate, as those skills will be the difference here. Griffin boasts a notable striking edge and has thus far proven extremely difficult to finish; therefore, if Brahimaj can’t consistently take him down, he’s in for a rough night.
Knowing Griffin, this will end up closer than it needs to be, but he ostensibly has the tools to sprawl-and-brawl his way to a much-needed victory. Superior stand up and reasonably stout wrestling carry the day.
                          Prediction: Griffin via unanimous decision

145 lbs.: Darren Elkins vs. Eduardo Garagorri

From 2015 to 2018, Darren Elkins (24-9) put together a six-fight win streak over several highly dangerous fighters. The momentum wasn’t to last, and he enters the cage this Saturday on the heels of four consecutive losses.
“The Damage” will have an inch of height and reach on Eduardo Garagorri (13-1).
Uruguay’s Garagorri entered the world’s largest fight promotion with six consecutive first-round finishes under his belt, and though he failed to make it seven against Humberto Bandenay, he nonetheless walked away with a clear decision. He couldn’t do the same to Ricardo Ramos, who knocked Garagorri from the ranks of the unbeaten with a first-round rear naked choke.
His 10 stoppage wins include six by submission.
This is a pretty forgiving matchup for Elkins on paper, probably his easiest assignment in years. Garagorri, though respectably dangerous on the feet, showed his vulnerability to grappling specialists against Ramos. “The Damage’s” customary gameplan, walking through fire until he can impose his wrestling, looks like a promising way to shut down the Uruguayan.
That’s assuming, of course, that Elkins still has enough left in the tank to properly execute. He took massive, well, damage in six of his last seven fights, and he definitely looked slower than normal against Landwehr. Still, even a thoroughly diminished Elkins should be able to capitalize on such a favorable style matchup. He grinds Garagorri into the dirt for a wide decision win.
                          Prediction: Elkins via unanimous decision

It would tie the official record for UFC fights in one calendar year.

Poor losers, cry like babies when they lose.

They show even less class and honor, if they win.

this fight goes two ways. Santos in my mind is a front runner. If that old man who has terrific fundamentals weathers the storm he wins. It is a heavy storm to stop tho. i think Teix can get this done but he really has to be discipline here.

                                                        Thiago Santos and Edson Barboza.

It would be a tough call to say which of those names has the best leg kicks in the game.

That "fight starts 3rd rd" bet is for the main event, not for the Boser fight.
