My guy, Poirier definitely won the fight. Not sure how you had it 4-0 Hooker after R4.
You know I love ya, just got to call it like it is.Comment -

#253Whew......I got on Poirier early at -175 and -190, but that was close. In fact I think Hooker wins if he throws more knees. I had it 2-2 and was happy to see Hooker going for lazy takedowns in the 5th. I think he was trying to wrestle because he was gassed. Great fight!!Comment -

#254I'm saying Poirier throws less than Felder; whether he lands less is another story.
I think Hooker will play this one similar to the Felder fight - make his reach advantage count in the early rounds but will tire in the 4th and 5th, if it gets that far. My biggest concern is whether Poirier has the endurance to make it count.
I think I'll be betting the over either way; neither fighter is going to be coming out swinging, both have experience going the distance over 5 rounds and both are hard guys to KO.
over 2.5 rounds -120
Both fighters came out swinging alright. They wanted to take each others heads off from the sound of the first bell. I was sweating a bit at the end of the 2nd not gonna lie but knew both had solid chins.Comment -

#256Very nice main event first 3 rounds but soon in 4th was clear Hooker totally gassed(both were but Hooker was far more) and that cost him fight. Need to prepare better for 5 rounds.Comment -

#257Really wanted Hooker to win. Dude gassed late. He wins the 3rd round he wins the fight. Wanted that 750+ on Hooker decision, a little bias on my own fighters . It was close. Poirier +375 decision ain't bad and +222 fight goes the distance ain't that bad either, ig.Comment -

#258I was leaving work and was trying to follow it online. It was Poirier body shot, body shot, body kick, body shot, etc. Then I watched the replay and his body kicks were landing with a big thud! That always plays into the other guy gassing out.Comment -

#259Hooker slowed down and lost the late rounds to Felder too. But good observation, body shots can really take the wind out of your sails.Comment -

#260Expected Poirier to have a bigger advantage on the ground.
Wonder if he wasn't able to get wrestling/grappling mat time in on his reconstructed hip timeline.
Or if I was just plain wrong thar.Comment -

#262So Poirier has evolved? Whats with the body shots. He's known to always aim for the head. A head hunter no longer?Comment -

#263ESPN MMA’s Ariel Helwani, Brett Okamoto and Marc Raimondi react to Dustin Poirier’s win vs. Dan Hooker at #UFCVegas4. (8:00) They discuss what could be next for each fighter, with Conor McGregor and Tony Ferguson being mentioned as potential options for “The Diamond.” The guys recap Mike Perry, with his girlfriend serving as the only person in his corner, beating Mickey Gall in the co-main event. They wrap things up giving their picks for the best performance on the rest of the card including Maurice Greene and Brendan Allen as well as looking back at the fight nights that took place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

#268Seems Jimmy does the commenting in Invicta. UFC fukked him when they didn't extend his contract at the time. He's back now though, maybe we will see him commenting the UFC fights again too. As long as Mike Goldberg shuts the fukk up, worst of the worst.Comment -

#271Goldberg has no content. Doesn't add anything to a fight. Worthless. Who gives a fukk about a fighter's favorite tv show during the fight.
Scott Coker should dump him too. Send him to WWE. Perfect match.Comment
