Adesanya admitted in the post fight that he didn’t come to fight. He came to win.

Yoel didn’t do much either but three take down attempts, power punches thrown and landed, and he wasn’t the one babbling in every conference about how much better he is than Yoel.

While he did throw and land power kicks all they did were maintain distance and slow Romero down. He didn’t land them and then follow up. He didn’t use them in any way other than scoring points.

To me he was planning on fighting to win on the scorecard and had zero intention of engaging with Yoel. He’s a new champion and clearly wants to hold on the title regardless of the public perception of him.

It’ll be interesting to see how White promotes him in the future after this performance.

Terrible fight to end the card notwithstanding it was a great night of fights. Zhang/Joanna was a fight that is a contender for fight of the year. Would love to see these two girls go at it again once they're done healing from that war.

Costa has 2 solid rounds of cardio in him.

Before he fades. Like he did in his fight with Yoel.

5 round format does not favor explosive sprinters like Costa/Yoel.

That extra pound they cut for championship weight could also exact a toll.

I'll be honest.... AS A FAN OF THE SPORT!!!!

You can't expect PPV buyers to see Championship fight main events like we saw tonight and be happy if you want the sport of MMA to grow.. Luckily the early fights on the main card were exciting but the main event was complete TRASH to watch..

If Dana White had any balls he'd tell Romero to take that after fight speech of his and shove it up your asss, here is your walking papers.. Romero always was a survive type cheating fighter.. I remember his past fights when he was losing and gassed and took extra time on the chair to rest between later rounds..

Dana White in my mind needs to send a message.. No BORING fights in main event PPV fights.. Come to fight or don't come at all!!!!

Put me in charge and I clean up this shiiit show.. Dana getting soft IMO!!!
