looking at Josh Neer -210 as a play even though I liked Kurt at first glance, Riley is a fighter I like but need to rewatch the first fight with nelson, praying a soft line is put out against George Roop, best dog for the card so far imo is Jesse Lennox +175 against Villefort
watched a little more film on Villefort, at 6'1 he is huge for a welterweight, Trains with top team and is very aggressive off his back, above avg jiu-jitsu but is primarily known for his judo background, showed some amazing judo technique in throwing around a pretty good wrestler in Mike Cambell in his last fight in the wec. The only loss of Jesse Lennox's career was by kneebar and it just so happens Villefort has a very sophisticated Kneebar that he used against Mike Massenzio and almost caught Cambell in a few times as well. Villeforts biggest weakness also plays right into the hands of one of Jesse Lennox's biggest strengths which happens to be his striking, Villefort very sloppy hands and might have lost his last fight had Mike Cambell not chosen to take him down to the mat which pretty much sealed his fate, Villefort has been KO twice, once by a horrible no name fighter in Todd Carney who has a 16-23 record, although he did later win in a rematch. Lennox with very sharp standup, boxed through out college and has some above avg hand speed, tends to leave his chin up in exchanges but not too worried about the K.O, Only bad thing I did notice in his only loss was that the guy doesn't seem to have very much submission pain tolerance, tapped very quickly to a kneebar that didnt look extremely secure to me although I could be wrong about that. jesse is no slouch on the ground though, he has finished every fight he has been in consisting of 5 tkos and 5 subs, his armbar seems to be above avg and has finished a few guys with it. Don't think Jesse makes the mistake of going to the ground with this guy, good enough wrestler to control where this fight takes place imo and if it does happen to go to the ground Jesse is well versed enough to shake off the first few sub attempts, I think the storyline of the fight will be Jesse's wrestling neutralizing Villefort's Judo and expect a SD or possible second round tko for Jesse, should be a great fight either way.
