      Why not?

Holland has the worst fight IQ in the UFC besides Cody. I think Di Chirico is live here and with those odds and Holland's dumbness, it's worth a play. Holland is a tough kid though so I like a decision.

I don't like playing guys that have terrible takedown D. The guy has given up 5 in two fights. This is how I see it playing out. Who wouldn't take the guy down and beat him up?

Kondo lands 7.3 SSPM compared to 2.7 SSPM for Yoder. Her % is 43% compared to 35% for Yoder. Kondo has also never been taken down.
I see volume and activity in the favor of Kondo and in the judges eyes, especially a three round women's fight, they like volume and activity.

Yoder. Holland. Ewell. I'm 2/3 there?

Didn't see enough of Kevin Holland's fight to know if its 3/3.

I'm surprised that many hit. Anyways for the breakdown.

Many japanese fighters have issues finding good coaches and sparring partners. If a japanese fighter has good kickboxing it often means they're deficient in wrestling/grappling. Usually they're not well rounded in all areas. A good wrestler like Ashley Yoder would be in a decent position to take advantage of this.

Commentators mentioned Anderson Dos Santos taking the fight with Nad Narimani on short notice. They neglected to mention Andrew Ewell took that fight with Renan Baro on short notice as well, a much more impressive performance than Dos Santos'. Both guys were outwrestled and outgrappled in their previous fights. But Ewell had a distinct size and reach advantage and faced much tougher opponents. Ewell had good value there.

Had no reason to take Holland over DeChirico. I keep thinking we'll see Holland's 2nd degree black belt in kung fu be useful in a UFC fight but he hasn't shown it much.
