Lobov carries his hands high like he's thai kickboxing. AFAIK that guard was developed to throw kicks and block high kicks, its not a stance for throwing hands or boxing. Artem has to drop his hands, before he can throw a punch. Some of his punches are two motions. Drop hands. Throw punch. It makes his punches arrive on target slower and inefficient. One of the reasons Artem had trouble landing punches in his UFC fights. One might say proper boxing technique is a punch with a single motion. Wonder if Artem will ever make an effort to clean up and improve his technique.

Seems nearly all of the pro boxers fighting on this card lost to wrestlers and MMA fighters. People underestimate the athleticism and toughness of people competing in MMA.

i saw two rounds of this joke of a fight and didn't see Artem land one shot. I saw Paulie land a few but i guess even with no gloves he still hits about as hard as Holly Holmes. I looked for a line and the only line i saw is what Hugo posted and if i saw it that low when it should have been ten to one i would have never bet it simply because even tho i figured Paulie would out class him you knew he wouldn't knock him out and it would go to the judges. I bet Vegas won a bundle on that one.

Reminds me of Brock coming to the UFC from WWE and everyone taking it personally.

Paulie's old, out of shape, got brittle hands, can't hide behind the gloves, won't like getting hit repeatedly by Artem's bare knuckles, and most of all seems way too emotionally invested already.

I'm actually giving Artem a chance here, assuming Paulie doesn't back out.

Thoughts?

Not impossible that Paulie breaks both his hands early and then has to try survive without throwing anything for the rest of the fight.

Hopefully Artem lands clean a few times at least and makes Paulie regret some of his shenanigans.

Wasn't brave enough to throw more than 1 unit on Artem. Should've listened to my gut!
