I can't hate you for fading, for me its either Rtree ITD or Round 1 to hedge if you are going to bet Walker. 'Trees cardio has generally been shit, and Walker definitely has the tools to win.

Walker has reach advantage, and what looks to be a cardio advantage. He also beat de Silva, a former UFCer and first round flame-out type of guy on DWCS. Not the most impressive vic, but its not like he beat a complete can either. And although Tree can starch you with one punch, his cardio fades drastically after Rd1, so the longer this goes, the more advantage Walker has.

As stated, I like Tree either ITD or R1, but Walker is definitely tempting at +180.

I went back to using 5d for MMA, Heritage isn't up to par with the lines as of yet, esp since you can't get Round Handicaps, and the props are trash IMO. Heritage is legit, just not for MMA

MMA MANIA Prelim write ups -

155 lbs.: Devin Powell vs. Jesus Pinedo
Devin Powell (9-3) caught Dana White’s eye on “Lookin’ for a Fight,” setting up a debut against Drakkar Klose last year. After dropping decisions to Klose and Darrell Horcher, Powell overcame early adversity to finish Álvaro Herrera with body kicks in July.
His victories are nicely split into three knockouts, submissions and decisions apiece.
Jesus Pinedo (15-4-1) enters the Octagon on the heels of six consecutive victories, all of them stoppages. “El Mudo” has knocked out seven opponents overall and submitted four others.
He replaces teammate Claudio Puelles on late notice.
Powell has done decently well for someone with no visible athletic gifts whatsoever, but being a better version of John Gunther isn’t enough to succeed in UFC’s deepest division. Is it enough to at least get him past Pinedo, though?
Eh, probably not.
The Peruvian isn’t the most durable, but he looks to be quite a bit faster and more powerful on the feet, not to mention decent at defending takedowns. Unless the short notice gimps him, he has the tools to exploit Powell’s lack of striking craft. Powell’s combination of durability and nonexistent striking defense earn him some lumps as Pinedo’s quick hands tattoo him for 15 minutes.
Prediction: Pinedo via unanimous decision

145 lbs.: Nad Narimani vs. Anderson dos Santos
Nad Narimani (11-2) made the most of his second shot at Cage Warriors glory by dominating Paddy Pimblett to earn the promotion’s Featherweight title. He was supposed to make his UFC debut in March, but ultimately took on German prospect Khalid Taha in July, taking a decision over the hometown fighter.
“Smiler” has submitted five opponents and knocked out two others.
Anderson dos Santos (19-6) opened his career 12-1, but ran into a 4-4 stretch that saw him submit Ricky Simon for the Titan FC Bantamweight belt amid losses to the likes of Andrew Whitney and Said Nurmagomedov. “Berinja” has picked up two consecutive victories since succumbing to veteran Victor Henry, most recently pounding out Wanderlei “Mexicano” in July.
He steps in for the injured Sergio Giglio, who himself stepped in for the injured Enrique Barzola, on a week’s notice.
dos Santos is no joke despite his relatively recent struggles, boasting solid takedowns and submissions. The issue here is that he’s moving up from Bantamweight to face a big, powerful Featherweight in Narimani with a similar, but far more complete skillset. The Brit can more than hold his own in the wrestling and figures to be the more potent striker by far.
Trying to muscle around Narimani is going to be downright exhausting, and dos Santos has been finished in five of those six losses. Expect the Brazilian to try to push the pace early, only for Narimani’s takedown defense and punching power to wear him down until he leaves his neck open.
Prediction: Narimani via second-round submission

170 lbs.: Michel Prazeres vs. Bartosz Fabinski
A decision victory over Des Green marked the seventh consecutive victory for Michel Prazeres (25-2), but also his third time missing weight in four fights, forcing him to move up to 170 pounds. There, he faced the hulking Zak Cummings in May, walking away with a split decision victory.
He is six inches shorter than Bartosz Fabinski (14-2) and will give up eight inches of reach.
Poland’s Fabinski handily defeated Garreth McLellan and Hector Urbina in his first two Octagon appearances, only to miss all of 2016 and 2017 because of injury. He returned in July, winning a grueling decision over fan-favorite Emil Meek in Hamburg.
“The Butcher” has finished eight opponents via strikes.
There is a very, very good chance that this fight winds up being terrible. Fabinski showed against Meek that he’s more than happy to hit takedown after takedown and just sit in guard, and though Prazeres has had some entertaining performances in the past, he’s also faded badly in fights he was winning.
This will come down to whether Prazeres’ deeper grappling game and superior stand up can overcome Fabinski’s size and relentlessness. After seeing Prazeres deal with another big customer in Cummings — who is a better technician than Fabinski in most areas — I have faith that the Brazilian’s quick hands and sheer strength can rack up enough quality blows and stuff enough shots to take the decision.
Prediction: Prazeres via unanimous decision

125 lbs.: Alexandre Pantoja vs. Yuta Sasaki
Alexandre Pantoja’s (19-3) submission of Damacio Page to unify the Legacy and RFA Flyweight titles earned him the top seed on TUF 24, where he reached the semifinals before falling to Hiromasa Ogikubo. He’s won three of four bouts inside the Octagon proper, rebounding from a narrow loss to Dustin Ortiz to defeat Brandon Moreno in Chile.
“The Cannibal” will surrender five inches of height and four inches of reach to “Ulka.”
After suffering consecutive stoppage losses to Leandro Issa and Taylor Lapilus, Yuta Sasaki (21-5-2) made the drop to Flyweight, where he’s gone 3-2. He was last seen choking out boxing specialist Jenel Lausa in his first victory since tapping to Jussier Formiga last year.
Twelve of his 14 stoppage wins have come by submission.
I’m a Sasaki fan and he’s got the ability to upset ostensibly superior fighters, but he’s just not built to have consistent success against strong competition. He’s not a capable enough wrestler to bring his potent submissions to bear on his own terms. And even though those crazy-long limbs make him a threat at range or off of his back, he’s going to struggle against fighters with superior fundamentals.
Pantoja fits that bill quite well. The Brazilian has the takedown offense and defense to dictate where the fight goes and is the cleaner, more powerful striker. Sasaki will have his moments, but Pantoja will consistently find his way inside, landing hard punching combinations, low kicks and takedowns on his way to a clear decision victory.
Prediction: Pantoja via unanimous decision

145 lbs.: Humberto Bandenay vs. Austin Arnett
Humberto Bandenay (14-5) came out of nowhere to wipe out TUF: “Latin America” 3 winner Martin Bravo in just 26 seconds, earning “Performance of the Night” via vicious head kick. Injuries and **** problems kept the Peruvian out of action for the next nine months, after which he lost to Gabriel Benitez in a wild 39-second donnybrook.
He stands one inch taller than “Golden Boy” at 6’1”.
Austin Arnett (15-5) came up short in a slugfest with Brandon Davis on “Contender Series,” but impressed enough to join UFC five months later. He has yet to taste victory in the Octagon, losing to prospects Cory Sandhagen and Hakeem Dawodu.
His 12 stoppage wins are split evenly between knockouts and submissions.
It’s hard to get a good bead on Bandenay, as his Octagon career has lasted 65 seconds so far, but he looks like a solid fighter, boasting powerful kicks and reasonably effective hands. He’s not quite as good as any of the three fighters Arnett lost to recently, which is where the difficulty in making this decision comes from.
Despite some misgivings, it looks as though Arnett’s struggles against aggressive combination striking will once again prove his undoing. If Bandenay targets the body with that heavy left leg of his, he should be able to control the fight standing and secure his second UFC victory.
Prediction: Bandenay via unanimous decision

170 lbs.: Laureano Staropoli vs. Hector Aldana
Laureano Staropoli (7-1) — who has not tasted defeat since his third professional fight — punched his ticket to the Octagon with seven victories in less than two rounds. “Pepi” has scored knockouts in five of those seven victories, including four of his last five.
This will be his first fight since June 2017.
Hector Aldana (4-1) represented Team Gastelum on TUF: “Latin America” 2, winning a decision over Alvaro Herrera before tapping to teammate Enrique Marín in the semifinals. Three years later, he made his Octagon debut against China’s Song Kenan, succumbing to his foe’s power after an entertaining two-round brawl.
He has knocked out two professional foes and submitted one other.
A heavy-handed Argentine Welterweight will immediately draw comparisons to headliner Santiago Ponzinnibbio, but Staropoli isn’t quite there yet. That’s not to say he’s not plenty powerful, aggressive and entertaining, though; he’s a brawler to the bone, more than happy to plant his feet and trade heat.
This does, as you might imagine, leave him open to incoming fire, and he’s been rocked before. Luckily for him, Aldana came up short in a slugfest his last time out and doesn’t look like he’ll pose a significant threat with either his power or striking technique. Aldana’s willingness to take it to the ground could be an issue, but I say Staropoli catches him clean midway through the first round.
Prediction: Staropoli via first-round knockout

The Octagon makes its debut in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with an intriguing slate of fights at UFC Fight Night 140. Many of South America’s top fighters will be featured on the card, and betting odds for all 12 bouts are available at the sportsbooks. There appears to be some solid betting opportunities for this lineup, and here are my favorite plays in the Ultimate Fighting Championship Argentina edition of Prime Picks.

Marlon Vera (-310)

As far as betting favorites go, one to consider for a parlay is Vera, who takes on Guido Cannetti in a bantamweight bout. As the odds suggest, this looks like a mismatch. The biggest advantage Vera has in this contest is his age. He’s only 25, while Cannetti is 38. Vera has also been very active since joining the UFC in 2014, going 5-4 overall inside the Octagon with notable wins over the likes of Brad Pickett and Brian Kelleher. In his last action, he returned to form after a two-fight losing streak with a brutal TKO over Wuliji Buren. Though Vera isn’t a top-level bantamweight, he’s bordering on the top-15, while Cannetti is near the bottom. The one advantage Cannetti does have in this fight is that he is from Argentina, but otherwise I don’t see where he has an edge. He’s only fought four times since joining the UFC in 2014, and he hasn’t been able to string together a win streak. I don’t really think Cannetti is a UFC-caliber fighter, while Vera is still evolving and improving. Vera should win this fight, and the -310 moneyline is a reasonable price to pay.

Alexandre Pantoja (-380)

Another favorite to consider for a parlay is Pantoja, who has a favorable matchup against Ulka Sasaki in a battle of flyweights looking to save their jobs. Pantoja has looked solid in the UFC since his stint on “The Ultimate Fighter,” going 3-1 with a decision over Brandon Moreno in his last bout. He is a well-rounded and dependable fighter as he’s won 12 of his last 13; his only loss since 2010 coming against Dustin Ortiz. Sasaki, meanwhile, is a one-trick pony. All four of his wins in the UFC have come by rear-naked choke, but mostly against lower-level competition. In duels when he hasn’t got the RNC, he’s been finished in three of those losses. Sasaki cuts a ton of weight to make 125 and overall he is just not a guy you can count on with your money. Pantoja should be able to get the finish or at least grind out a decision. At -380, he’s one of the favorites on the card I feel strongest about winning.

Bartosz Fabinski (+165)

For an underdog pick, I like Fabinski to defeat Michel Prazeres in a battle of grinders. Both are grapplers who have similar fighting styles, as they both look to bully their opponents and use takedowns and control to win decisions. Both are on seven-fight win streaks and the winner of this fight will likely get a top-15 opponent next, so I’m expecting both each to show up here. What I like about Fabinski in this matchup is that he’s a natural welterweight, while Prazeres is one of the smallest fighters in the division at only 5’6”. While his wrestling was incredibly effective in the lightweight division, I don’t see Prazeres having as much success at welterweight, especially against someone who neutralizes his strengths like Fabinski. Prazeres is also 37 and at some point is going to slow down. I have to give him credit for beating Zak Cummings in his welterweight debut, but I believe this is the fight where his streak ends. Fabinski has always been undervalued by bettors, but he’s come through with the win in all three of his UFC fights, even as an underdog against Emil Weber Meek. At +165 for Fabinski to get the win here as the underdog, it’s worth taking a stab at him considering the matchup.

Cynthia Calvillo (+135)

For another underdog pick, I like Calvillo to defeat Poliana Botelho. I like this matchup and the winner of this fight is going to firmly be a top-10 strawweight. What I like about Calvillo in this matchup is experience. She has fought and defeated solid competition in the UFC, including Joanne Calderwood, Montana De La Rosa and Amanda Bobby Cooper, plus an amateur win over current bantamweight contender Aspen Ladd. Calvillo’s lone career professional loss came in her last fight when she lost a close decision to former champion Carla Esparza. She has been on the shelf since December due to a marijuana suspension, but is primed for a comeback. Had she beaten Esparza, there was a chance she would have been in the running for 2017 “Fighter of the Year.” As it stands, Calvillo went 4-1 in 2017 and proved she can hang with the best in the world. On the other hand, Botelho has looked pretty good in the UFC with wins over Pearl Gonzalez and Syuri Kondo, and she has a very solid record with a lot of knockouts. I just don’t believe she has fought someone with the grappling chops that Calvillo has. I look at this one as a pretty big step up in competition for Botelho, and I think Calvillo is being slept on here as the underdog. At +135 odds, I see value in Calvillo here as I believe she should actually be the betting favorite.
