Williams vs Caron - A lot of books have this as a pickem. But Williams seems to be better in every aspect than Caron. Unless Im missing something from the little amount of fights ive seen. Williams is faster, more accurate, a more natural fighter, and seems like a better athlete than Caron. Caron doesnt seem like UFC material, whereas Williams seems like he could hang. Definitely betting on Williams at close to even money.

Caron lost his fight before last. And his last fight his opponent KOed himself with an awkward slam. Carons other wins seem to be against cans.

Te Edwards vs Austin Tweedy - Edwards is an underdog that Im betting on. He seems much more solid and smooth than Tweedy. Tweedy is a wrestler, and Edwards also wrestled in college, so is also a good wrestler. But Edwards punches very hard, and has KO power, where Tweedy doesnt, he just gets subs after takedowns. Edwards could probably match or is better than Tweedy in wrestling, and is way superior in the standup.

Agree with you here Rich. Unfortunately I didn’t get Williams at my book until -105 but still worth it IMO. In fact I may still add more. Longer, faster, more athletic/explosive southpaw. I like this matchup.

What do you see in Caron? Speed and athleticism is no contest between the two IMO. I know Caron has a lot of TKO wins but I don’t see too much power in his game either. I think the real concern backing Williams would be gas tank, but if he comes to finish early like most guys do on Contender Series, I think he has a solid shot.

Actually don't worry about it. I'm too conflicted here. Just gonna fade all and focus more on the Finale and 226 cards. Lot's of more interesting fights to research.

Some small action on Emmers/Erosa goes the distance when it opened around -160 or so. Kinda odd to be paying juice for a Contender Series OVER given the past couple of weeks, but neither of these guys have much fight stopping power and are durable themselves.

Also took the Rebello under + Schev at -200 or so.

Small tail on Williams just tailing some other sharps I know who did tape. Glad to see Rich and Shagy agree.

Very little to see of Tweedy but he looks a bit one dimensional to me. I liked what I saw from Edwards in terms of striking power and I know he has a wrestling background, thus the small play.

Tweedy did say he wrestles with Askren, and he looks physically strong as hell so won’t be shocked if he takes it.

Watched Williams/Caron and added to Williams. Caron looks pretty bad on the feet. Doesn't respond well to pressure at all, if flinch, and backs up to the cage. Only throws from his right side. William appears to be very athletic and apparently has some wrestling chops if it ends up on the mat.

Erosa not super skilled but he had a chin and power advantage which can take you places if you go brawl like he did round 2.

Emmers had a huge wrestling advantage but the format meant he didn't want to go to it.

Should be a consideration moving forward and another reason why I should not bet juiced unders on Tuesdays.

Smart bet. I couldn't believe how big the line went for Rebello, the much smaller and older guy. Parisian showed great athleticism for a heavyweight, bet he gets a contract.
