    Sanchez / Guida Decision
How did you guys score this fight? After watching again I think I would have scored it R1 10-8 Sanchez, R2-3 10-9 Guida, making it a 28-28 draw. Did you guys see it differently?

I would have to score it differently. First round for me was no doubt 10-8 Sanchez. For me I guess I would have to give the second round to Guida 10-9 even though He didn't really do much from top position, while Sanchez massacred him with elbows from the bottom. Based on the biased in American judging to being on top I guess it goes to Guida. Last round I give to Sanchez 10-9. He landed more shots, did more damage, and had octagon control for the most part. All that Guida did was get a takedown with 1 minute left and throw a couple punches from the top.

So i score it 29-27 Sanchez. Thats one of the reasons I don't like american style judging in the UFC. They give too much credit for takedowns and top control. In reality Diego was more aggressive from the bottom than Guida from the top. He was going for submission after submission and landed a million elbows. Oh well...they will change it one day.

I would score 29-28 Sanchez. R1 Sanchez, R2 could even go Sanchez cuz he was trying submissions and en ducing more damage with elbows from the bottom. R3 Guida.

Clay N Pray should be banned lol

Guida should be banned ? That was the most exciting fight in a long time.

The first round was 10 -9 Sanchez .... they both landed strikes in the begining, sure Guida got hurt, but he was still able to get a takedown and land a few big shots.

the Second round was 10-9 Guida. The american judges are not top biased, i think it comes down to , where did Sanchez want the fight ? Standing up. Where was the fight ? On the ground. (a grappler working for submissions on the bottom against a striker trying to get out of the guard would have scored differently) Guida controlled him and would not let him up. sure he landed some devestating elbows from the bottom, but thats not nearly enough to win the round.

The third round i saw has 10-9 Guida as well , they danced for the first 2.5 mins and Guida landed more shots then sanchez. then they scrambled on the gorund a bit and as the bell sounded guida was landing a few strikes.

The first round it looked like sanchez had the fight one, but Guida fought threw it. Just cause sanchez failed to finish does not mean it should be a 10-8 round. Those are usually reserved for guys who dont land a shot or any kind of offense the whole round.

I gotta say I'm not buying what your selling lol. You saying Clay held down the striker is my exact point that american judging is bias towards top control and wrestling. Who cares if he held him down? Diego did more damage from the bottom and was going for more submissions. If you think a takedown and laying on the guy is worth the round then thats find. But thats the bias I'm talking about. He made no attempts to improve position or finish the fight. I wish North American MMA would make that change and give credit to fighters that actually try to finish the fight.

And the first was a 10-8 IMO. Diego landed more than double the strikes than Guida and they were all power shots. Rocked him multiple times and just couldn't finish. Another reason why American judging is weak is they dont apply the 10-8 round enough. U get a beatdown like that in the first round and a very close second round and they count for the same? Not a very effective system.

Anyways, we can agree to disagree!

Well , i re watched the fight, pre dominatly the first round a few times. Diego landed about 3 times more shots then Guida, but Guida kept comming, he didnt run , he kept forcing the action even tho he was getting rocked. I believe in 10-8 rounds, and that was close, but i think it hast to be complete domination. Sanchez dominated the round, but he still got punched a few times and got taken down. Reason i think it SHOULD be harder to get a 10-8 round is if you catch a guy and destroy him in the first round, then he comes back to beat you the next two, then you have a draw, which is quite lame.

As for Guidas ground and pound, he landed alot of shots when on top, he got rocked for a sec with elbows, but he still landed shots and kept looking to try and get to full mount. It wasnt a Matt Hughes lay and Pray IMO. But we all see things diff, thats why there is more then one judge. Besides, were not here to judge fights, we are here to make bank off of them. (and judge them on the side ) !
