i hate to say it, but iv felt this fight will be ginas downfall for awhile, she has looked less and less impressive , i question here motivation since she started becoming a celebrity, i also have seen cyborg go on a tear lately , she seesm to be getting tougher and tougher. Also bread .... i had a weird dream in which i was going to fight wanderlea silva but my skills keep fading, we ended up getting busted by the cops cause we were driving around in a van that he stole and he had pot on him ..... i did fall asleep while watching Half baked tho ...... iv had some weird dreams over here

Riot, I think I would let Wanderlei have his way with me for just one full evening with Gina.

And that's saying a lot because I can't stand that guy right now.

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem is still struggling with complications from a hand injury sustained in a bar brawl and will not be able to defend his title against Fabricio Werdum at Strikeforce “Carano vs. Cyborg” on Aug. 15.

                    Joe Riggs +225
                    Nick Diaz -285

Am I missing something? This line seems low. Tell me why I shouldn't load up on Diaz.

no clue. Riggs didnt even look that good against baroni imo. Nick going to submit him or a possible tko by strikes. They fought once back in 06 at ufc and riggs got a decision a win. I think Diaz is a lot better now plus he has a 5in reach advantage and he definitely has better striking skills.

just watched the fight again. All 4 of diaz decision loses in the UFC were close and this one was no different. I really dont see how diaz didnt win the first fight. Diaz is going into a parlay for me, thats for sure.

I thought Riggs looked terrible against Baroni too. Diaz looks better every fight. I'm going to see if my Affliction bets cash and then go heavy on Diaz.

For the belt too!! I love that this fight is going to go down, but I had Mousasi at -115 when it opened for Affliction. Now I'll have to take him at -170ish.

OMG. Looks like another one is scratched!!

Strikeforce lightweight Josh Thomson's (16-2) broken leg has not completely healed, and his Aug. 15 bout in San Jose, Calif., with interim title holder Gilbert Melendez (15-2) may now be in jeopardy.

Thomson today told MMAjunkie.com Radio that he wasn't able to fully train for the unification bout, and additional sources close to the contest have indicated the organization is actively seeking a replacement for "The Punk."

If this is true than that is so sick 3 of 4 tilte fights on the card going down. But with Affliction going down they can make a good replacment fight with Gomi or Horodecki even for the intern tilte that Melendez has (5 rounder). As for Joe Riggs replacment how about Jay Hieron from the affliction card

That would be awesome. Gomi/Thomson and Diaz/Hieron would make a great card.

                                                YOU CALLED IT LOCKSMITH.

Three days after the clothing company ceased its prizefighting operations, the former International Fight League welterweight champion has signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce.

In his first fight, Hieron is expected to step in for Joe Riggs to face Nick Diaz at Strikeforce “Carano vs. Cyborg” in San Jose, Calif., on Aug. 15. The fight will likely be for the first ever Strikeforce welterweight title.

Despite reports stating that Thomson (16-2) wouldn't be pulled from the card, a source close to the negotiations today told MMAjunkie.com he hasn't been medically cleared for the fight, and Melendez (15-2) will instead meet Mitsuhiro Ishida (18-5-1).

How does STRIKEFORCE put Fabricio Werdum on the undercard? He is supposed to be one of the guys that will give Fedor "top competition." Don't they want to give him exposure so they can set up a match with Fedor? Dumb move in my opinion. I guess Werdum fighting a light heavyweight doesn't help either.

they should have a 5 fight time slot, i think they usually do. There is no way they leave werdum off the broadcast or they are smoking some crazy stuff.

Hieron has spent this time trainging to fight one of the best, Diaz for title, and has a great camp so he is ready. Both guys have wrestling backgrounds, tho taylor is more accomplished.
