If you're really interested about racial dynamics in combat sports, you should really read/watch/listen to material about Jack Johnson, and especially about the lead up to his bout with Jim Jeffries, the very first "Great White Hope." I suggest you watch "Unforgiveable Blackness" by Ken Burns, or listen to the History on Fire podcast about him. One of the most interesting personas in American History for sure. I don't know if it'll change your mind about black folks (I hope it does), but it might save you some money.
