Buren's game works against people less physical than him. He's been fighting bantamweights too long and finally ran into a dude that was stronger than him. That said, his wrestling technique is better than I thought.

I don't know what the commentators are smoking though. I had Dy all 3 rounds. 30-27 wasn't a head-scratcher at all.

** is tough but Mazany's cardio seemed to win out in that fight. I also thought Mazany's hands were much faster but she couldn't use her footwork to stay at a range where she had that advantage. She always had to contend with **'s size for half the round before her cardio carried her.

Sherman's chin giving in like that was a surprise. Didn't think that under 1.5 would hit. And Abdurakhimov's aggressiveness and output were much improved from the past as well. Pretty terrible outcome for me.

I actually like Curran just a little bit here. She seems much more athletic. She is sooooo hittable though. A lot of people think she's not a fighter anymore but she seemed very much in her last fight vs Albu and she's now fighting twice in short time. She needs to show some progression though.

1-5 in the UFC against low level competition is pretty unforgivable.

This fight reminds me of Holm/De Randamie. Xiaonan is getting the better of almost all the striking exchanges. Curran is grinding her up against the cage and failing on TD attempts.

I think it's time to let her go, though I do enjoy fading Curran. Her sole UFC win was a comeback against the TERRIBLE Emily Kagan who tapped to a non-locked in RNC.

I think that's the Total Strikes metric which counts lots of insignificant ground and clinch strikes.
