No UFC this week other than the contender series. I'll research these fighters to see if there's any bets worth making.

Tonight's heavyweight title bout between CES MMA heavyweight champion Ashley Gooch and challenger Juliano Coutinho might look like a classic striker vs. grappler matchup. But, as the two CES MMA 45 headliners will tell you themselves? Actually, yes, they'll agree that…

        In this video: http://mmajunkie.com/2017/08/friendl...ness-inside-it

Gonzalez says he had some injuries going into fight camp. That's a data point to bet on Almeida.

Yep, put a bet down on Almeida at -145. After watching tape, Gonzalez seems faster and more explosive than Almeida. But Almeida is better technically and has a better fight IQ. Even though he lost, Almeida neutralized Kattar pretty well, and he seems to be a better fighter with more power than Gonzalez.

I also put a bet down on Gooch. Coutinho is fat and slow, don't see how he can take Gooch down. Gooch has the standup. Gooch trained with his usual training partners, should be business as usual for him.

Gonzalez won. I should've known, the more athletic guy, at this stage in their careers, is going to win most likely.

Ugh, Gooch loses too. I gotta be real careful betting these CES fights next time.
