Just really pisses me off losing split decisions when it was a clear win imo... Shelton is young and that win would've been big for his career as well.. just sucks I don't understand why it's so hard to judge you sit in a chair and stare at a fckin tv screen..... half this thread could be a more compatent judge it's honestly sad that this guy will make half his pay cheque because of this.... all 3 sherdog judge says had him 29-28 and all over online people saying it was a clear win as well.. even if I bet somebody I can be unbiased and I thought it was close but 2-3 rounds were for Shelton ...but oh well you win some and lose some just sucks to start the night like this especially watching one of my fav up and comers get robbed...

Round 1 - Shelton catches a kick but Brooks springs back up. Straight right comes up short from Shelton. Good right from Shelton after another Brooks kick. Takedown successful for Brooks as Shelton is on his backside and against the fence, throwing elbows and punches. Shelton trying to muscle his way up but he can’t. He remains busy with elbows and Brooks throws a knee to the midsection before Shelton returns to his feet. Brooks drops down for another takedown and Shelton is down again. Really hard elbows by Shelton and I’m not sure they’re legal. Brooks attacks the neck but can’t get anything serious going with that guillotine attempt. To be honest, Shelton is doing most of the offense here even on the ground. Thirty seconds remain in the opening round and Brooks throws knees to the shoulder. Mounted guillotine by Brooks! Shelton gives the thumbs up and the round is over. I score it 10-9 Shelton.Round 2 - Big swing and a miss from Shelton on the overhand right. Good right hand from Brooks on the bridge of Shelton’s nose. Fast shot by Brooks and an even better sprawl by Shelton. Spinning backfist from Brooks is blocked just in time by Shelton. Jab lands for Brooks. Shelton pops out a double jab but I don’t think either punch connected. Good right hand by Shelton does tag Brooks on the left cheek. Solid uppercut by Brooks as Shelton eggs him on to throw more. Takedown by Shelton with a minute left in the round. Another guillotine by Brooks. Doesn’t look like it’s tight. He uses the headlock to sweep Shelton and get back to his feet. Brooks with a nice takedown just before the horn sounds. Very close round but I think Shelton just edged it. 20-18 Shelton.
Round 3 - Flurry inside by Brooks ends with a left hook. Barely anything has happened in over a minute. Lots of feinting, very little throwing. And then Shelton cracks Brooks with a massive right that drops Brooks momentarily. Brooks is back up but he definitely got rocked there. Combination by Brooks pretty much catches just air. Head kick by Shelton is blocked. Brooks throws a body kick that hits Shelton’s arms. Crowd is restless with over a minute to go. Sneaky right hand by Brooks. Clipping right by Shelton. Takedown leads to an accidental clash of heads. Good sprawl by Shelton again. Flying knee from Shelton almost gets there in the closing seconds. He drops for a guillotine and can’t get it. Fight is over and I have it 30-27 Shelton but it was a lot closer than my score suggests, and Brooks may have taken the first two rounds.

Tyron Woodley vs Stephen Thompson 2, Anderson Silva vs Nick Diaz... Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley, etc.

For some strange reason, I get the feeling Vegas has a long and illustrious history of questionable judging calls.

California could be one of the most corrupt states in the country. New York, too. Hopefully won't affect the judging decisions.
