Did well all weekend, hit a few bumps in the road but hit the big props.. I did hedge Gunnar sub for $100 but still picked up $255 on the main event win on dimes..

came away basically even after this card.. didnt see any fights was at a soccer tourney just caught the highlights
glad i went under in the main event as well, was on gunnar straight, had cynthia heard the fight wasnt great then went with Paul Craig and Felder , never though stevie ray was that impressive imo

I don't know if this will make any Nelson backers feel any better, but he explained in the post-fight press conference that he was poked in the eye pretty badly during the exchange before the big knockout punch. That's why it connected so cleanly without him even moving his head. Sounded like he was making excuses to some but Nelson doesn't sound like the type to do so. Then the image was posted and it looks pretty bad. He was poked in both eyes DEEP. These eye pokes have got to stop. They change the course of a fight so often, and there's little to no penalty for it. Rogan may be right when he advocates using more curved PRIDE style gloves. I can not for the life of me remember a single bad eyepoke in PRIDE and I've watched more than a hundred PRIDE fights.

^^I didn't even notice an eye poke in real time, I must have watched the replay 5 times.. The guys on the UFC panel didn't mention it either after the fight...
His eyes were wide open when he backed against the cage, he was not blinking like he got eye poked right before he got dropped... Weird????
Also it looks like the eyepoke was when he was against the cage in that picture above and after he got rocked.. Probably only a matter of time regardless.. Ponz was going in for the kill at that point...Comment -

Is that a legal foul when quickly grabbing the shorts while standing and when the guy is running away? I don't think I ever seen that happen or called when a guy is running away...
Ponz won the fight, Gunnar got too confident and didn't respect the power, his chin is always up and his hands are always down.. One good shot from a hard hitter like Ponz and Nelson gets dropped every time.. Gunnar was on the retreat, rocked and against the cage when the eye poke happened.. The shot in the middle of the ring before the eye poke is what rocked Gunnar and sent him running against the cage.. Ponz would have dropped him regardless of the eye poke.. I watched the fight and it looked like Gunnar clipped Ponz then he went to put his hand out while getting out of distance and did a bad eye poke on Gunnar.... Gunnar said he was seeing 2 of his opponent but thought he had him hurt so didnt want to stop the fight and regrets it big time because he couldnt even see the shot he got hit with.... Vision is key for reaction especially with a karate style defense where you are parrying in and out quickly, this could drastically change the fight saying it wouldnt is just ignorant imo
good win for Santiago no doubt hes a good striker, but that taints the win for me , but regardless a wins a win in MMA
and grabbing the shorts or gloves is illegalComment
