Bellator 171 - Melvin Guillard vs Chidi Njokuani (Friday January 27th, 2017)

I put some money on Njokuani, Rickels, and McKee. I'm reluctant to bet on the chick fight. I can't find a video of Middleton's last fight anywhere. The over might be a good bet though, they both seem pretty tough, Middleton hits hard but Yauger seems to have good defense.

I read interviews on Rickels and McKee. McKee seems like he'll take the conservative approach to victory, using his reach and making his opponent come to him for the takedown. Rickels says he's in top form in practice. Rickels opponent hasn't fought in 2.5 years, doesn't look good on the feet but has decent ground game, but is tall so Rickels should be able to defend his takedowns. McKee's opponent looks slow in his last fight.

Njokuani had a great last fight, Guillard is pretty haphazard, worth a small bet on Njokuani.

I mean he's a -1000 so I'm guessing he wins, (McKee) but he is not that impressive IMO....however when you fight a guy who has just lost 2/3 and it getting a big chance..you never know..the speed distance and skill all favors McKee......The only realistic plays I see are:

Fri 1/27

3207 Phillips wins by 3 round decision

+1250

Fri 1/27

3211 McKee Jr wins by 3 round decision

+265

IMO its just insanity to lay -1000 on a somewhat non proven fighter....I mean they are clearly setting him up for a win but anything can happen......100$ on each...

Negative and it sucks bc I planned on it---Thought my Passport was good only to find it just expired.....I maaaaybe could have expedited it but I was lazy and didn't do it in time

That was close. Excellent prediction Paper. You predicted it would go the distance, and Phillips could've easily taken that at +1250.
