UFC President Dana White, McGregor’s retirement also involves the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
White explained on UFC Tonight that McGregor would have to formally notify the UFC of his retirement in writing. Until McGregor does so, he is subject to USADA’s random drug testing policies. Should he fail to notify the UFC of his retirement in writing, and fail to comply with USADA’s random drug testing policies by informing the agency of his whereabouts, he would be handed a USADA violation.
