My thoughts exactly. Diaz backers especially those who had +250 after Rd1 should be very very upset. Then again it seemed like Diaz can only finish if his opponent tries to jump him. And this time around McGregor was too smart for that.

McGregor-Diaz Analysis and Pick...

Well, personally I hope Nate breaks this fuuckers legs. However, it's been a long time since I placed anything other than a recreational-sized wager with my heart.

Connor was a consensus -400 five months ago at the first fight bell. Checking my three online books, 5dimes give the best odds on Connor at -125... that's 375 points lower than the same fighters odds only 5 months ago!

The best odds for Nate are +115.

There is TREMENDOUS value on Connor for this fight. As much as I hate to say it.

The smart play here is McGregor -125 for 2 units.

Conor hasn't cut to FW without the use of an IV and with the new 8% rule in place, and he looked like death even before those changes.

He asked for Nate again @ 170 because if he'd asked to drop to 155 (after already having lost to Nate @ 170 with 10 days prep) he would have completly fked himself out of ever having a shot at establishing himself @ 155 without having to make the long grinding trek to a titleshot.

it's a case of someone being a frontrunner going up against a marathon type fighter, with the frontrunner showing signs of fatigue in previous fights. not to mention the fact that the marathon runner being longer,taller and having better reach.

it's a case of conor either gets him out of there in the first 10 minutes or he gets his ass beat worse than last time, he either throws everything and the kitchen sink again and finds a sweet spot to ko diaz. or conor goes 0 - 2 against diaz.

you can't fix the type of cardio he'd need in this little time, nor can you teach someone to become a entirely different fighter then they've been the last 10 years in less then 5 months either. he could have been doing epo every day and he'd still not have the cardio needed to take this to the scorecards. only way that'll happen is if he'd clipped diaz early the way dillashaw did barao, or cain did jds.

nate is going to verbally abuse conor again, he'll treat him like sht every chance he gets, slap him, mock him you name it. and this is a guy in conor that wears lifts in his shoes and likes to pose barrelchested with arms out to the side to look ''brolic''

Connor broke his foot. It's going to take a while for whoever he fights. He'll have to give up his belt if he wants to do #3, though that is the course I would choose. Huge payday for #3, while doing that Aldo will regain his 145 belt that will make it another huge payday for Connor v. Aldo. Huge paydays for next two fights.

It still would be nice if the one punch knockout wasn't so easy--Johnson. It would make those fights much better.
