If that was his game plan, then he DID respect Hall's striking. I've seen plenty of Gegard's fights where he stands and trades because he is an excellent technical striker.

I'm not sure what you mean. He wanted to take Hall down because he knew Hall was a great striker. To me that seems that he respected Hall as the better striker.
