OK I wanted to start a new thread. Am I the best at predicting fights? No but I do think I'm pretty good especially if I Really like a fight.

Last couple events I was big on Barboza over Felder and Maia over Magny. I went into detail about how both would win and I was pretty spot on.

For UFN 73 it's Dariush over MJ. Dariush is better than MJ everywhere. Remember Dariush tooled Jim Miller on the ground and MJ is not a better grappler than Miller. He also trains with JDA at Kings. I just saw a piece on Dariush. He's a really likable kid. I think Dariush will fight for the belt 1 day.

Dariush needs to get it to the ground and keep Johnson down to win. Johnson has the better standup and wrestling. Dariush could very well be a future champion, but this is a terrible matchup for him. Best of luck capt!!

usually on board with ya Capt but not sure about this one. MJ handled Barbosa's speed better than anyone i have seen in a long fight. Guy has improved so much and looks fearless. U have anything on this guy Hall is fighting? U ever see him fight before?

Try that same parlay for 5, but put in Hall in the first round at +200, instead on alvey.

MJ did do well against Barboza cause he knew the only way to beat him was pressure him plus MJ had no fear of getting taken down cause Barboza does not go for TD's. Dariush presents different problems. No Dariush doesn't have the technical standup of Barboza but he's more well rounded than Barboza. Dariush is gonna be special.

Hall lacks mental toughness and this kid Bamgbose was at +300 to +350 a few days ago. I think it's a good idea to go small on him. Yes I know people (that know the game) that watched him fight and I watched some tape on him.

So Dariush got his ass whooped, but you got the gift. I guess we both won... You won the cash though, sadly.

Well done on your other picks.

Thanks Thor... True story... So I'm watching Dariush and MJ. I was supposed to be at a neighbors house already so I leave right after the fight. I didn't wait around for the dec cause I knew Dariush lost. I DVR'd the event. I come back a cpl hours later and I fast forward from beginning all the way to the Glover fight BUT something catches my eye. I see Dariush getting interviewed. I rewind and listen to Buffer give the scores. I was Shocked to say the least. I watched the fight a 2nd time. It was actually a lot closer when I watched the 2nd time.

I got lucky BUT I've also been the guy that picked MJ and got burned.

i can't see how anyone can give Johnson the third round. I thought i had this one easy but then in the third i thought Darius was picking him apart and MJ was gonna be stupid and keep coming forward and get knocked out. Once i got threw that i figured if they say Darius in one of the first two im ****** (split) Sure enuf the third guy had him to. I guess i have to watch it again.

Dariush won it probably, but not as tellingly as MJ won the two other rounds.. That round could honestly have been a swing round.

I thoughts the stoppage was a little early especially after the ref let Burkman take a lot more on a similar knockdown.

Perez still isn't that good and he retired. Weird to announce it.

Moving on... my next lock will be Joe Riggs over Ron Stallings. Stallings is a regional fighter. He's not a UFC fighter. Riggs should beat him everywhere.

Joe Riggs hasn't had much luck lately fighting in the UFC.. He did go the distance with Patrick Cote and lost though.. That's saying something considering the way Cote looked like last night... http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Joe-Riggs-2765

He is fighting an average dude bum in Stallings, I'm just not sure Joe Riggs is above average himself these days.. Stallings record - 13-7 http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Ron-Stallings-11950

At +140 Riggs is probably the right call though....

Yeah Riggs is not that old but he has a lot of miles on that body. I wonder how well prepared he will be. On paper it's Riggs all day. Also this will be a rare southpaw vs southpaw matchup. I work for a regional show and Stallings fought for us. He lost to Timmy Williams. Stallings looked ok. He definitely was not the 1st choice to fight Uriah Hall. They needed a replacement and Stallings took the fight. They actually offered Timmy the Hall fight but Timmy did not have enough time to cut the weight.

Riggs is held together by duct tape these days. Literally.

Don't know why people are hating on Stallings skillset. He's actually impressed me, very slick standing up. Good striking instincts.

He's a decent striker. He hasn't beat anyone good. The dude he beat in the UFC only had 4 pro fights when they fought.

Riggs baby. If that eye wasn't messed up he would have continued to dominate. Man Riggs landed some nasty Ground & Pound and Stallings took it like a champ! Stallings has a weak ground game.

The odds could be -500 and betting on Maia would still be a good option. Matt does not have 1 punch KO power and he gets taken down by good grapplers. Maia is 1 of the best TD fighters out there and his top game is 2nd to none.

The odds could be -500 and betting on Maia would still be a good option. Matt does not have 1 punch KO power and he gets taken down by good grapplers. Maia is 1 of the best TD fighters out there and his top game is 2nd to none.
